Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

I expect that their fans are very happy today.

They are trading Malcom Brogdon to another team.

I was just about to say that. Unless Brogdon is happy there and they decide that Scoot and the other youngins need the steady vet in the lockerroom and on the court he will get traded. He is a very good piece for any contender. Maybe he stays until the deadline to show the ropes to the youngins - then Portland packages him to the highest bidder - god knows every contender with a guard need will be lining up to try to match the Bucks and the C's. I can see Philly, Miami and the Warriors in particular trying to do something about it.

Another thing in my mind is that when Blazzers trade Jrue Holiday to a team, there will be another contender against us. Maybe Celtics get him.

I had that fear. I told ya. This is bad for us. It was'nt necessary to be involed in that trade. Celtics are too good to loose the East path to the finals.

I am mad with another reason. Portland trade Jrue for Brogdon and multiple picks, but i am 100% sure that they wouldn't trade Jrue for Cameron Johnson and fillers to us.

PLUS the fact that we donate Payne to Bucks for FREE.

Do you know that Robert Williams have been traded to the Blazers too?

That trade is another meh trade IMO. The Celtics aren't better now, they have changed the 6th MOTY and one of the best defensive Cs in the league (and picks) for Holiday.

I love Holiday but that's not an slam dunk trade at all.

About the same can be said for the Bucks. They lost Holiday AND Grayson (and picks) for Lillard.

Please my friend. Think first.
Robert Williams was the most injury prone guy in their roster. They glad to trade him for Jrue. For a true competitive star. Not a prone injury guy like Robert. Cmon'

Celtics did that.
The Celtics received the Warriors 1st round pick in the Marcus Smart trade.

So essentially, the Celtics traded Marcus Smart, Robert Williams & Malcolm Brogdon for Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis and Derek White is still here.

My point of view is not about Celtics trade. It is all about our team being the 3rd part of a blockbuster deal. Just think which team would give his former #1 pick for Nurkic and 4 rotation guys ( and you have to cut 2 of them for free) . No sense.

Think another scenario. Would Celtics involve as a third team in a deal that Embiid goes to Suns, helping Suns with trading their starter #1 draft player . No.

I would never forget the Isaiah Thomas trade, that they took advantage of us.
Marcus Thornton (T.)
• first round pick (protected top 10 in 2016-18, unprotected in 2019)

Poor man's Jokic too. A true Euro big.

More like a homeless man's version of Jokic.

The only similarities between the two are they are both European, shoot the 3 at a decent rate for centers and both are unathletic.

It's not like Nurkic is a volume lights out 3pt shooter nor an above average passer or facilitator although he is a bit better than Ayton but then he's only available for half the regular season anyway. I think if you're hoping Nurkic can be that missing piece are going to be sorely disappointed.

Only thing homeless is your opinion.

Btw do you need me to call anyone for you? I'm legit worried after this DA trade. Please don't leave any sharp objects lying around.

Seriously what kind of comment is this? Might be the most wack thing I've ever seen anyone say on here aside from "you don't watch basketball bro."

To be fair you can't constantly rip Ayton and then be like wow we got Nurk this great center, that simply isn't the case by any way you want to measure it.

We added 3 major rotation players who have not played more than 60 games in the past 3 seasons. Just setting some realistic expectations that our dudes are going to be missing lots of time.

Just to play devils advocate, Cam Johnson missed 39 games of our 56 games before the Suns traded him. Payne missed 32 games, Booker missed 29 games, Shamet missed 42 games, Jae sat out the whole season, CP3 missed 23 games, and KD missed 17 of the 25 games he was eligible to play with the Suns.

Bradley Beal missed the last 9 games of the season of the 2022-23 season, likely so the Wizards could tank, had he played those games, he would have played the same amount of games as CP3 did this year. Nurkic missed the last 9 games also for tanking purposes, so he likely could have finished the season playing 61 games. Though I will admit I am not confident Nurkic will play over 60 games.

EG played 69 games (which I'm shocked by), KBD missed 15 games, Grayson Allen missed 10 games, Watanabe missed around 12 games due to injury (and another handful due to coaches decision). Eubanks is a stud and only missed 4 games, Bol Bol missed 12 games and 6 of them were due to the Magic just not playing him, Little missed 20 games due to injury.

I'm actually surprised after looking all of this up, I feel like the Suns are in a better position than they were at the beginning of last season in regard to injury-prone players. We have a deeper and more flexible roster. KBD, Allen, EG, Eubanks will be pivotal role players for this squad.

Additionally, with how stacked the roster is, ideally Beal, Booker, and KD average slightly less than 33 minutes a game and that should hopefully keep them more injury-free. Also, Beal is used to playing over 36 minutes a game (last season was the first time in since 2016-17 he got less than 35.8 minutes per game), I think those extra 3 game minutes of rest will be beneficial.

I'd be happy to rewind a week where Ayton, Lillard, Holiday were on their original teams.

Maybe we won't make finals or play a different team but seems like we strengthed our final boss for Jusef Nurkic.

Then there's still Brogdon, Williams, Harden floating around, makes sense for GSW or Lakers or Clippers to strenghen too.

Draymond out for opening night is huge.

They will have to start Paul, Curry, Thompson, Wiggins, Looney (assuming no trades).

They'll be undersized at every position.

Bench Joseph, Payton, Moody, Kuminga, Saric

I’m sick and tired of being complaining about “the Suns helping other teams with this trade.” The Suns made this trade because they think it’s best for THEM going forward. Without the Suns in this trade, these teams could have worked a trade with other teams while the Suns would have been stuck with a disgruntled low effort max player.
