Brogdon the best choice for us?

Post#1 » by rzzzzz » Mon Oct 2, 2023 3:04 pm

I mean he fits right in. (He’s hurt a lot.)

Other than that, he was all kinds of po’d in the Celtics locker room after they got bounced. I like that.

With Maxey getting a legitimate shot at carrying the rock, Malcolm adds star quality to the rotation without irritation.

Just get something out of the Clippers to add to Portland’s parlay. Though I’m still convinced Darryl really wants Harden (?!)

I haven’t understood the Brogdon takes. When he went to Celtics he was deemed a steal. His reputation took a hit afterwards I guess from being malcontent. The guy carried that team at times last year and he also was a reason they won a couple post season games against us. Seemed at times he couldn’t miss. His value is between a SRP and FRP depending on what the salary filler is. Maybe his defense is questionable. But his offense seems better than Jrue in the post season

His reputation took a hit because the injury stuff makes him unreliable. I don't think he was a malcontent.

I guess the malcontent part was when he found out he was in trade talks. That’s something Tobias has built up an immunity against

I honestly feel like Melton is a very similar player.

I'd pass. Buying high on an injury prone player. He will crumble the moment he puts on a blue jersey.

Morey is ride or die with Harden, even when the "LIAR!" T-shirts go on sale.

If they do not trade Harden by the deadline, I would clean house before the rebuild.

I doubt Morey is really ride or die with Harden any longer. He is just short on assets to attach to Harden's diminished value that is capable of getting Morey the player(s) he wants back.

Basically has to hope a dumb or desperate team does something dumb and/or desperate. That or sit him and wait until he becomes valuable because of his expiring deal.

i can't say I have watched a lot of him but Bucks, Pacers and Celtics fans seemed to sour on him at the end of each of his stints.

I think there are better or cheaper options. But Brogdon looks like a good fit. He’d average 10apg here just doing pocket passes to Embiid at the elbow.

He's a good fit but a long deal, and his injury history does not make that ideal.

His contract annual numbers are actually really good however Morey may prefer to just go to free agency.

Lol. 10 assist a game. No shot. Plus he will only play half the games.

He's a good guard to have in the rotation but not a core piece. I'd be more open to him if his contract was expiring but the 2nd year makes him not worth it.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards/Council

Paul Reed would average 10apg running PnR and making pocket passes to Embiid at the elbow
