He’s 19. I’d rather give him 4 years to get to AJ Greens age and figure out if he can develop one of said skills then pretend that Green will ever be a rotation player on a team not named the Pacers.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

Could they just cut TA and make him an assistant? He gets a second paycheck for being an assistant and Bucks free up a roster spot.

This is the way. See if Giannis is willing to sacrifice his time away from his family now that we got him a running mate.

Bullock would be a perfectly fine younger, better version of PJ. Do some dirty work, hit a couple of swing threes and guard opposing lead wings.

I'm more than happy sitting on this roster going in to the season, see how things unfold.

On the other hand F*** it, cut Green, cut Livingston, cut Wiggington give Gortman his spot. Sign Bullock. Sign any random athletic big who can provide 6 fouls on the Embiids when the Lopezs get run off their feet.

Chris Haynes might be a bigger addition than Dame.

Not to disrespect Eric or Jim, but Haynes is like 4 steps above them. We’re going to get actual inside stories now.

Apparently he’s married to Dame’s sister or something like that

I love this roster, with our top 4 all you need is backups with playable tools and we have a good amount of vets that fit with Bobby, Pat, Beasley, Payne and Jae

I am fascinated to see if any of the youngsters in Marjon, AJJ and AJG can surpass any of those vets to earn minutes and equally fascinated to see the pecking order of the backup wings/5th starter.

I think they are just buddies. Giannis is married to Haynes' cousin

Pretty much any of the new rookie guys can go for all I care. Watch them in camp and then cut whoever for the vets. We know these guys like all have a 5% chance of a career tops

If they can't shoot or defend like freaks especially. Cut em

I guess I think it's plainly obvious at this point having watched guys develop for so long. Big bulky Athletes without any transferable skills at the 2 or 3? They don't work out and that's why there's been this shift towards skill level across the league.

To make matters worse, Livingston isn't some sort of freak, rarified air, athlete either. If that's your bar for might be useful, it feels super low, and I can't find a way to rationalize taking that over a guy who canned 44 triples in actual NBA games at a 41.9% clip on 14.5 attempts per 100 possessions.

Who else managed to do that last season?
Steph Curry
Klay Thompson

That's it.

I'm not even an AJ Green stan, but if Livingston had "potential" you'd think he show it as a Freshman in college where he's the biggest strongest dude on the block.

It is incredibly important that the Bucks start to develop talent. They have very limited ways to acquire talent for the next 7 years and they will need to do everything they can to build from within.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

If the Bucks and the Celtics were to face each other in the playoffs with their rosters as of today, what players of the Bucks top 10 would not be playable or could be played off the floor?

I'm not even saying he has a load of potential. I'm saying atleast he has the potential to be a nba caliber player. I doubt he ever reaches it, but that's my point. AJ Green might be able to torch some other teams scrubs but he's also 24 and I also highly doubt he ever grows 4 inches or can increase his quickness to the level necessary. Green has a clear NBA skill and I understand wanting to keep a guy like that over someone like Livingston who doesnt really have anything at this point, but I'd rather take the small gamble Livingston turns into like a poor mans Jeff Green than just keep AJ Green because he's better at age 24 than Livingston is at 19.

Which is fair, but Livingston, the 58th overall pick, isn't a "talent" you hang onto at the cost of helping you maximize a potentially championship roster.

Being a reasonable athlete and big doesn't make potential to be an NBA caliber player, and that's my position. There's far more that goes into the equation. We watched Bryn Forbes have a whole ass moment in torching the Miami Heat for a series, and we're going to sit here and say that AJ Green has no shot at doing the same? C'mon now.

I don't think Green is some AWFUL NBA athlete either, which you seem to be alluding to. Is he going to be a good defender? No. Will he likely get bullied by guys? Sure. But can he be smart and compete there? Perhaps.

I don't get why we're arguing Green versus Livingston to make room for Bullock. If we sign Bullock, what's Beasley's role? It's gone, and he should be too.

Green can shoot with a quick release, Livingston can get to the hoop. Since we already invested in to both, we should be slightly patient in waiting for the payoff.

I kind of like Livingston as a more athletic and bigger Sterling Brown but I can’t fault anyone for thinking he is the odd man out.
