I dunno. I feel bad for the guy. Not bad in terms of his life, because he's been paid very well to take the abuse, but damn man. You can clearly see that this kid is really down on himself and he's still gritting it out. He showed a lot last night regardless of the outcome not going in the Jets favor.

Didn't another team put up 70 points against Denver two Sundays ago?

And Justin Fields just had a career game against them.

Plus Sean Peyton was talking sh*t about Hackett. Would love to see Zach and the Jets Offense go out there and tear the Broncos a 3rd ass hole

It's a shame, this was going to be a legendary Rodgers game IMO.

Couldn't bear talking about Sunday night's game yesterday after the infuriating ref calls and non-calls that helped seal our fate. Just had to step away from it for a day on here :lol:

Some silver linings so far:

-Zach being so bad for the first 4 games allowed the coaching staff to examine every part of our offense in a way that Rodgers would have maybe covered up. Getting Tippman on the line and shifting Mekhi to the left side has really allowed Zach to at least have the requisite time to make throws and has given us a really great unit through 2 weeks.

-Hackett has shifted his playcalling in a positive way. Being more aggressive on early downs seems to have instilled some artificial confidence into Zach. I'd look to get Cook less involved and give some of those Breece spell carries to Carter going forward. At least until he proves that he is not just washed up.

-The defense has now been great for 3 out of 4 games. With 3 of those games coming against elite QBs. Getting Huff on the field for more snaps has to be a priority IMO. Had Mahomes running for his life and making uncharacteristically bad decisions. With Rodgers this team is likely 3-1 at this point :noway: :nonono:

That being said 1-3 is a tough hole to dig out of especially without a sure thing at QB. This team is going to rue losing that Pats game IMO. No reason we should have lost that game. This week is a MUST MUST win if we want to have any aspirations of sneaking into the playoff race. Going into the bye at 2-4 can at least delude us into thinking there's a chance we can string together a good last 11 games given how the schedule eases up for a bit in late october/early november and in December as well.

Basically if the Jets can win the below games then we would have to scratch and claw a couple more of the tougher ones to have a punchers chance at a playoff run with an Aaron Rodgers who seems determined to beat the odds on an achilles comeback:

@Broncos
Giants
@Raiders
Falcons
Texans (looking tougher and tougher)
@ Pats

If you can get those, you get to 7 wins. Then you have to try and split with the Phins and beat either the Commanders or Chargers to get to 9. Doable but not going to be easy. Let's hope ZW can build off this week and take care of a bad Denver defense.

This could all be for nothing and we could be looking at a 4 win season but I choose to be optimistic about the talent on this team lol

Ok. This year and next. :D

1-16 with all the coaches being thrown into a deep fryer is the best case scenario.

The hard part is the Bears tank is GOATed, they have the Panthers pick and theirs. Cardinals have the Texans. So between those 2 teams who would both draft over their current QBs its going to be tough. If Panthers and Texans had their picks they probably wouldn't give up on their QBs quite yet.

So if we can't get 1 of the 2 clear best QBs we're probably stuck getting an O lineman and sending gimped Aaron Rodgers out to die. Which would be great because then we can tank again and have some hope of a QB. If Rodgers survives and gets us to 10-7 and a worthless playoff beating then we're screwed for basically another 2 years, because we won't get a good enough pick to get a QB and its back to hell.

I tore the patellar tendon off my f'ing shin at 37 and was walking in a month running in 3 months, court work in 4-5 months. I mostly ignored my American doctor after the surgery and hit my Chinese MD 1-2 times a week. Aaron Rodgers has a billion times more resources than me, he's a really well read guy when it comes to his body and health and Eastern medicine.

Achilles and patellar aren't apples to apples exactly but both are similar in that the key is fighting atrophy and getting good adhesion and blood flow to heal the tear site. Patellar is a little more brutal in that you are in a full leg straightener and on the slow plan you are bending at the knee like 10 degrees every 2 weeks or something super slow. Achilles you are in only a boot fighting to keep your calf muscle from death and keep ankle mobility, down side is blood flow to the back of your heel (assuming he tore it lower) is pathetic.
