That leaves Lowry as our starting center based on his defensive assignments.
It would be pretty awesome if Spo came out and said Bam is our starting PG. That would throw some people for a whirl.
Your starting lineup is "Rich, Caleb, Jimmy, Jovic, Bam" whos scoring on that? thats how it plays on defense, on offense both Bam & Jovic take turns setting up the team.

So why hasn’t the Heat been pursuing any of them with its two open roster spots?
This isn’t a byproduct of any concerns about the luxury tax or a second apron or finances.
Instead, it’s about creating an opportunity to try to find the Heat’s next diamond in the rough.
The Heat believes the only way it will know if any of the eight young players without guaranteed contracts can play is to give them an opportunity to compete in training camp and preseason, without another veteran cluttering the equation.
Three, four or five of those eight could emerge with jobs —- three with two-way contracts (Dru Smith, R.J. Hampton and Jamal Cain are looking to hold onto those two-way deals or earn standard deals) and potentially one or, less likely, two other players emerging from preaseason with standard deals.
The Heat has 13 players signed to standard contracts and must be at 14 by opening night, when Detroit visits Kaseya Center on Oct. 25.
While the Heat hasn’t ruled out signing a veteran, it wants to give the young players every chance to earn those jobs.
Besides the three players on two-way deals, the six others competing with training camp Exhibit 10 deals are forwards Cole Swider, Justin Champagnie, Drew Peterson, Cheick Dialo and guard Alondes Williams.
Of those eight, the 22-year-old Hampton has the most NBA experience, having appeared in 162 NBA games and started 18 through three seasons with Denver, Orlando and Detroit.Spoiler:

I dont want the same issues he is giving Philly to happen here.

It’s time Patrick, show us you’re willing to do what it takes to win a ring in the Jimmy Butler era. Bams got you covered in the next era.

If a player in the final year of his contract holds out for 30 consecutive days the team can basically prevent him from entering free agency after the season. He ends up in no-man's land and can't sign with any other team without the current team's permission.
It's a rule in the CBA that people only recently started talking about but that's what it says. So that's why he has to at least show up to Sixers training camp.

Didn’t the Lakers send a 1st out with Westbrook when they filled out their roster?
