Dame

Prospects

Marjon - Jury is still out on both ends of this but there is promise
Payne - at this point it may be a lot to expect him to develop his finishing ability but he can definitely hit a 3 and beat a guy off the dribble.
AJJ - if he learns to shoot, we stole a whole round of value. i dont thinks it's very likely.
Green - no
Washington - Shot terribly in his first season but wasn't terrible in college so there is promise. He's got the slash and floater game. Might be our best candidate tbh.

So who are our realistic starting 2 options? Jae, Pat? Can Cam defend 2's for stretches of needed?

Pat, Marjon and Beasley will duke it out for the starting 2 spot. Hopefully Marjon earns it.

I am funding a billboard "Start AJ Green as SG"
Will we ever respect 3pt shooting specialists?
He has everything we need at the SG position.
Low usage, good size athleticism, will not cheat on effort on D... I strongly believe we have to clear this diamond and let him shine. Give him a fair chance and go to Marjon+Beasley if he falls short.

Who starts at SG? You need a guy that will be an above average defender next to Lillard that will hit efficiently a small portion of open 3s with all that firepower in the starting lineup. Beasley is the quick no IMO since he is exactly the opposite. He is an average defender and a high volume shooter. Which is something useful to have in the non-Dame minutes where probably one of Midds and Giannis sits on the bench too.

Pat is exactly the kind of player that fits. He will be in the closing lineup after all. Beauchamp should be in consideration too, but he needs a giant step forward in his feel for the game and of course his 3s. Maybe it's too soon to turn him from a non rotational piece at the playoffs to a starter after only a summer.

Lillard (32)......Payne (16)
Pat (28)..........Beasley (20)
Midds (32).......Beauchamp (16)
Giannis (32).....Crowder (16)
Lopez (28).......Portis (20)

I think this is how I would start the season. There will be opportunities for AJJ to break into the Top 10. I have Green/Livingston/Thanasis/RoLo nothing more than RS minute eaters.

Dame isn’t a good defender and can’t stop dribble penetration so our starting SG has to be able to guard PGs so we can hide Dame on SGs. Pat doesn’t have a prayer of being able to do that.

Kind of expecting a SG by committee unless Marjon takes over the job. Pat/AJJ/Marjon/Beasley all have some strengths and weaknesses that can be exploited/hidden depending on the matchup. I think Marjon has the best chance to be the guy who puts it all together and can kind of do everything needed.

Lots of teams tried to get Beasley to play defense, but it never worked. He's trash. He'll provide as much as Hood or Semi did.

Imo the starting sg should be the guy who defends the best while being at worst a below average 3 point shooter. Our only need right now is a perimeter defender. If Beauchamp or AJJ can’t fill this role, we’re going to need to make a trade for someone who can.
still learning the game

Well ok he nay not be a curry but dude he will provide much more than hood n semi if he scores 7 a game hes already brought more to the table than both those clowns.8 teams wanted this guy still think he can score and think 12 to 13 a game isnt out of the question but your right D should be a priority there as much as i think marjon is useless as from what i saw in summer league he would be best option.AJJ will be lucky to see the floor if he does it will be mop up duty JMO hope he proves me wrong but for someone whose shot is worse than marjon the hype fir this guy is like the heat fans hype over jovic

Yeah Beasley has his warts but pretty silly to dismiss him before the season even starts. He has a quick trigger and is playing off Giannis, should work well. If it doesn't who cares lol, there's a reason he was available for the min. Vendettas before you've seen the guy in a Bucks jersey is super lame

34-year old Wes would be ideal at SG for this team.
