If the Harden saga blows up the sixers, I'd def swap Brown and embiid. Timelord would've given them a nice youngish center prospect though. We don't have one of those anymore.

If embiid legit wanted out, that package would be a mad overpay. Let someone give them an all nba player plus plus plus

Lol are you serious? If Embiid wanted out and all Sixers wanted was Jaylen Brown, Brad does that trade in his sleep.

Thats not what I was saying. If embiid wanted out, Brown is enough. Not a lot of teams, if any, can trade an all nba player for embiid. We could without adding on all the other assets, no need to bid against ourselves

We technically couldn't if we're still above the 2nd apron. AFAIK, incoming salary should be 100% of outgoing + 250K without salary aggregation from our end. (At least not yet in summer 2024.)

There's no need to get cute and try to lowball. Look at how well that turned out for Miami.

So I guess what Coach Griffin means is that they're being smart with Middleton and whatever's ailing him is top secret and a matter of national security.

Man, I’m not the biggest Joe fan with how he handles some interviews but this is worse than Joe’s one word answers

I don't even think Miami tried to lowball. They just didn't have the right assets. Kind of natural when you have a small core plus a bunch of scrappy culture guys. They had nothing expendable of value except Herro, and apparently his stock has dropped badly.

We will never know the truth, but I read two very different reports: they offered Herro and more than 2 1sts (not sure how they got more 1sts) and also they they refuse to empty to cupboard for Dame (assuming cupboard is Herro, 2 1sts, Jovic, Martin and their first rounder from the most recent draft whose name currently alludes me)

You're right and im not saying in that scenario Brown for Embiid straight up, but Brown, rotation C on good contract and 3 1sts is too much when the centrepiece (Brown) is an all-nba player who has not yet entered his prime. Brown alone is nearly impossible to match for nearly every other offer in the league (his new contract notwithstanding)

They are fine. What are they supposed to do? Be buddies?

In that business, that is your livelihood, you have to be “petty!”

It is more of an indictment on the "NBA officials" than the writers.

Aww, those poor Bucks. I feel so sorry for them that Middleton is hurt, Dame and Giannis can't even practice 2 days in a row (and the season hasn't even started yet) and Giannis missed playoff games with an injury and Dame missed lots of games last season to injury..meanwhile our whole team is healthy.

Those poor Bucks..

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

It’s been 3 days since the Jrue Holiday trade. Why won’t Brad Stevens do something?

Cole Anthony
Jae'Sean Tate
Otto Porter Jr
Jalen Smith
Kira Lewis
Deni Avdija
Precious Achuiwa
Aaron Wiggins
Andre Drummond
Saddiq Bey
Jonathan Kuminga
Kenrich Williams
Isaiah Stewart

I figure that we'll hold onto that TPE for now. See how the season plays out..see which of these guys become available as the season goes on and see what (if any) gaps we need to fill..then maybe use the TPE before the deadline.

Nick Richards and Chuma Okeke are interesting ones for me too. Idk if Charlotte trades Richards but they probably would for a bunch of 2nds

Our 7 footers of Poku, Porzingis, and Kornet weighing less than our guards is probably not awesome.

I'm confident his daddy Al would whoop him into shape with a little fatherly discipline.

Wishful thinking but I could imagine Embiid and even Giannis aging poorly. Or at least declining from their recent peaks. Lose a little athleticism and go from HoF to normal all star. 1st team all nba to 3rd.

Of course, if they were on our team, I'd think due to size and skill they'll age well .

Giannis relies more on athleticism that embiid, but I think Giannis has a much stronger work ethic I suspect and may fill the gaps with more skill/ strength over time. You want to make the most of Giannis if he slows down, play him full time at C
