Daver, I'll keep this simple, can you explain to me any given scenario where you want any of AJJ, Pat, MarJon, Beasley or <insert name here> trying to score in a situation over Dame, Middleton, Giannis or Brook assuming they are the other four on the court?

Most likely not, though I suppose you could get into extremely specific situations.

If that is the case, I personally don't believe you want or need a scorer, nor do I think the Raptors history (starting raw guys like OG, Barnes and even Sikiam) care about having all 5 scorers out there.

What we need is a guy that can be a good perimeter defender and take the tougher assignments so Dame and Middleton don't have to. I'll also say that I think who starts is super irrelevant and who closes is of far more importance to me.

Agreed that the Bucks don't need the fifth starter to score. But they do need him to at least be a threat to score in the halfcourt. AJJ is such a non-threat as a scorer that it practically becomes a 4-on-5 when he's out there, which significantly reduces the impact of the other four. I'm sure there's a way to design an offense that accentuates his strengths, but is the coaching staff really going to prioritize his effectiveness? I wouldn't.

Seems like hyperbole to imply he's a completely useless on offense. He's a bad outside shooter but he's a freak athlete, good and willing passer, and very high IQ player.

People talking about Dame getting hunted when we just watched Jimmy hunt Jrue more than LeBron hunted IT.

Yeah, if they just leave him wide open, he can attack the rim and either finish or make the right pass. He’s not going to go Bledsoe out there.

For the record, when Dame says something positive I take it 100% at face value.

When Jrue says something he's full of ****.

Imagine Marjon is a legit rotational player. Might vault the Bucks to being second best team in the league behind the unstoppable Celtics.

Pretty sure they are going to give him every opportunity to start. Really like that he has been watching a ton of Mikal Bridges film.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

Nah, the media crowned the Celtics. It’s their year. Biggest choke job ever if they don’t win the title while going 16-0.

Pat is one of our most consistent players. As of now he should be closing games at the very least, none of the other 2/3 guards are better than he is.

Any word on if we expect to see Dame Sunday. Assume the big four will be progressing through some injury or illness.

Pre Jrue Holiday the Milwaukee Bucks had a defensive rating of 102.9 in 2019-20.

With Jrue Holiday the Milwaukee Bucks had a defensive rating of 111.4 in 2020-21.

Bucks will be just fine defensively.

I’ll gladly eat all the crow if Marjon is a contributor this year. Him finding his role by playing hard-nosed defense and hitting open looks would be the second biggest develop of the offseason, second only to trading for Dame.

Can we stop using the word hunt? We're friggin Bucks and don't need that kind of negativity around our species.
Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed? You don't need double talk... You need Bob Loblaw.

His role this year will be more Giannis gym buddy than actual playing time imo... Beas, M.B. and AJJ will get the 1st cracks and every opportunity .. they will likely have to fail before Pat gets rotation but we'll see

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
