As long as AG didn't use the words "organic offense", i'm good.

Did he talk about playing random?

I chuckled along with him on that comment. He certainly has the right perspective on being physical.

It will be interesting to see who ends up winning the SG spot with how Griffin wants to play. I'm not a Beasley fan and want Pat coming off the bench, so the young guys need to step up defensively.

Griffin doesn't know about the Bucks whistle yet.

There were certainly series where the Bucks got culture shocked by other teams getting away with fouling and it not getting called in the playoffs. It would be nice to be on the other side of that shock value.

I am somewhat concerned about the idea of Giannis playing more physical defense, especially if he's going to be asked to guard guys like Tatum & Butler. Could lead to Giannis being in foul trouble often

Yep. I immediately thought about Horford and Boston in general.

The Bucks have been one of the most physical teams in the league just due to the roster, but they didn't go full Heat/Boston mode by fouling every possession. Will be interesting to see the adjustment.

I still think Giannis will be playing the same style as last year. A little bit of a free safety, and will probably be instructed not to play as aggressive as the rest of the team to avoid foul trouble. Because if he goes out we have no offense. Wait...I forgot about Dame. 8-)

Nice change from the prior coach asking players to actively avoid contact and only put your hands straight up.

I know you’re joking but the Bucks whistle was because they played with no physicality in the regular season so when they tried to do anything in the postseason, they got whistled. Refs watch film too.

There are pros and cons to each. We were always among the teams with the least fouls committed under Bud, if we go more aggressive we're likely to deal with sending teams to the line more & getting our own guys into foul trouble. Giannis is specifically who I worry about with that. That said when you play physical they'll likely have alot of calls on them but refs will also swallow their whistle some too allowing us to get away with some stuff. I'll need to see it on the court before I make any true judgment on this is better or worse

I literally cannot wait for these two to share the court. Dudes a sniper. He’s gonna get 6-10 good 3s to take a game. How do you guard a lineup with Dame and Giannis, and then Khris waiting on the perimeter, Brook waiting, even Pat or Bobby. This offense is going to be insane.

If you don’t play physical in the regular season, it’s difficult to just flip a switch and do so in the postseason, unless you got an absolute dawg out there setting the tone for everyone and eating so many fouls the refs won’t whistle others.
