Midds 24ppg on great efficiency the last time he played = not a good basketball player anymore
Jrue awful efficiency while giving up like 40ppg to Butler = guy the Bucks should have kept who now makes the Celtics favorites

I also just think Khris is not a good basketball player anymore, and even more a poor fit for this team. His field goal % has declined 3 years in a row. His 3pt % has declined 3 years in a row. He doesn't move well without the ball. And perhaps worst of all, his defense is atrocious.
He is an iso player who can make tough shots, and occasionally run a decent pick n roll game when he's not dribbling the ball off his foot or throwing lobs off the shot clock. We don't need that now, because Dame will be taking over those duties. And I think Cam is good enough to be a creator for the 2nd unit.
We'd be *much* better off with a hard-nosed, gritty wing who will be ultra active defensively, relentlessly cut off the ball and attack the glass.
Jrue waived off Giannis and Wes only to continue to get absolutely roasted by Jimmy because Jrue was too damn stupid to figure out that you steer Jimmy left. Beyond inexcusable. He deserves the Celtics overmatched coach. I will not miss him as a player.

That was encouraging indeed, especially since the going should only be easier as a 3rd option this year. It’s understandable to be guarded about his prospects of getting back anywhere close to his championship form however. There was a time last year where it felt every time he played significant minutes he was physically ailing, might be why they are playing it so cautious, in case there is still something chronic.

I did prefer we move Khris over Jrue and it came down to health. I feel way more certain that Jrue will be healthy in the playoffs and thats really all i cared about. Certainly a healthy khris means this is an all time great offense. I just dont trust khris will be healthy until i see it

They knew he needed the knee surgery he had this off-season. So that’s why they limited his minutes in the regular season and it worked since he was easily their best player against the Heat.

I don’t trust Jrue to not up his usage while his efficiency tanks in the postseason. I also don’t trust him to guard Butler and Tatum.

We also weren't *asking* Jrue to take early shot-clock step-back threes time and time again. We asked him to be a ballhandler more than he is capable of, which should still be an issue in Boston. That's why I love a deal for Caruso to just blow **** up and get us in transition.

Khris is the most under-appreciated Buck of all-time. Now he gets to slide into his perfect post-prime role of being the most versatile and valuable 3rd option in the league. He's gonna absolutely feast off open looks and against 2nd units when we stagger him with the bench lineups.

Sure, but Bud is the guy who trusted his players and how they feel. Bud also trusted PJ whole heartedly against KD & the Nets. Bud trusted his players when they said they could do something and sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't

Yes, if he can stay healthy...Khris will definitely be the best third option in the league. I just really, really hope he can stay healthy.

I don't want to bad mouth Jrue and we'll see how different he will be playing in Boston but I do think we might have gotten off him at the right time.

And Bud did the same thing when KD was putting 50 up on PJ. Bud trusted PJ & he trusted Jrue. I'm not saying it was right or wrong, just that as with most cases these things aren't always black & white

The Dame trade was huge for us on so many levels.
Khris' role now reminds me of one my favorite Charles Barkley quotes because it's so true. The game of basketball is easy and when you play with great players, it's even easier.
Although according to the national media we shouldn't even bother showing up because the Celtics got Jrue.

I agree with this. If I’m Horsty I might kick the tires on some Khris deals if he has a productive stretch at some point. What could he net us? I think he becomes eligible to be dealt soon?

Khris is going to be the last player to wear 22 for this franchise. He's got a cadre of vocal haters because he's a 6-8 wing whose dunks are rare and don't feel like dunks should.

Will be interesting to see if Jimmy Butler still has possession of Jrue's soul once the games start in 2 weeks.
