D looks even better this year and run game has been upgraded. Brock shouldn’t have to do much to get there either.

It isn’t “luck” that has gotten Mahomes 2 rings and another SB appearance.

The D does not look better.

You guys are already making excuses for him and the team hasn't even lost. Doesn't show much confidence.

No one is making excuses. We're moderating expectations. If we're talking about any one QB vs. the field in any given year, I'll take the field every time.

No. He is playing beyond anyone's expectations. You just are wrong about everything and keep repeating the same bull narratives

I've always said that he could win regular season games in Kyle's system with the best weapons in the league and a top 5 D, so actually I'm being proven right right now.

It is a ream.game. you have provem.nothing

This is how people who are objective rank Purdy against the other QBs in the league.

Well you can't very well expect Brock Purdy to be better than #11 on this list, Las Vegas Raiders QB Tom Brady. And obviously Kyler Murray has been better this year.

But since we're playing this game, some other objective rankings:

https://www.espn.com/nfl/qbr

https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfl-qb-power-rankings-week-5-2023/

https://sportsnaut.com/nfl-qb-rankings/

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2023-week-5-nfl-qb-power-rankings-bills-josh-allen-surges-into-top-three-packers-jordan-love-plummets/

None of those rank a retired player or a guy who has yet to take a snap this season, though, so we probably can't credit them.

And for the record, this is not me cherry-picking. These are the first five results from a Google search for "NFL QB Rankings", along with the ringer ranking that you posted above.

Come on now, Purdy has thrown far more incompletions so far this season than Brady and Kyler combined! Makes total sense they'd be rated higher.

This list isn't about who has been better or had better stats this year. It's a ranking of how good these guys are.

It's a **** ranking that includes a retired player listed under a team he has never played for.

Didn't realize this was a different NFL.com ranking than the one I posted above.

It's just a **** ranking because you don't agree with it.

Call me crazy, but I don't think any reasonable, objective person can realistically argue at this point that Daniel and Mac Jones are better QBs than Brock Purdy. To say nothing of Deshaun Watson, Ryan Tannehill, Russell Wilson, etc.

Ruiz watches a ton of QB film. He knows what he's talking about.

Maybe. Same could be said for the guys responsible for any number of the rankings I posted above. You've found one ranking that is a real outlier compared to everything else. That's fine, maybe Ruiz is right. But acting like this somehow vindicates you is pretty absurd IMHO.

It vindicates that I'm not just making **** up, and that there are respected media members who are seeing the same things that I am.

Was anyone disputing that there are plenty of people who see the same things you do?

Out of curiosity, do you think Daniel Jones is better than Brock Purdy?

Daniel Jones sucks, but he has a better arm and legs than Purdy, so I get why he's ranked above him. He also won a playoff game last year with that terrible Giants team.

Respected? Never heard of him. Was he a former QB in the NFL? because all the other ones have only said good things about Purdy

Lmao. We're you aware Tom Brady was playing this year? Kyle Murray might not get his job back. He must have spent a good amount of time today trying to find crap like this

Return to San Francisco 49ers
