The fallout from both the Lillard and Jrue trades is going to be interesting. I don't think there's anyway the 76ers can catch up. I think Embiid will be wearing another jersey this time next year.

I also expect the Heat to dump salary to chase someone in free agency. Herro and Robinson are probably both very much available.

Scoot now primed for ROY. He will get all the minutes he can handle from day 1. The narratives from national media will be insufferable.

Probably true, but I am way more interested in Miller looking like a good future starter on the Hornets then whatever the media thinks about Scoot (who may even stink).
Looks like Boston and Milwaukee have the next 2 years wrapped up in the East regardless. Hopefully we can get into contention for the 25-6 season with our main young guys getting physically and mentally stronger as they hit their young primes while adding a couple good players from outside as Rozier and Hayward age out.

Also, the Miami fans crying about Portland taking MIL's offer look like idiots now. Jrue was far more tradeable than Herro.

That front court looks very weak defensively. Zinger can't be relied upon at the best of times and is not that good defensively anyway.

They'll miss Robert Williams. Also they can't have much rotational depth now.

I think the Celtics are slightly worse than last year.

Losing both Williams, Smart and Brogdon.

They have the best starting 5 in the NBA, but their bench is terrible.

Their 8-15 is as bad, if not worse, than ours... I'm sure they won't have any problems attracting midseason buyout FAs though.

EDIT: Oh, he's got a player option for 2024-2025. Well, that's really rolling the dice then.

It doesn't have to be, but I bet it will

Didn't picture the Celts being this desperate. That's like us handing over Mark. No thanks.

I like Vassell, but man that is a lot for a guy with under 80 career nba starts.
He was a lot better last year, but the shooting splits was the best thing and it was under than half a season on a team that was awful.

I get paying him, just don't think they got much of a discount for paying him early.

Jeez…what the hades happened to Jimmy Butler? Bizarre hair, piercings? He did the dreds once, but this style is WAY overboard. I guess he is channeling his inner “KAI”

LOL, he looks like a Saturday Night Live character. A cross between James Brown and Reverend Al.

Kemba is already hurt in the French league too. Hasn't played a game yet.

Not a good time for former Horncats.

Is he the first athlete to sue an Insurance Co on the basis of denied Covid coverage?

I wonder what sort of precedent it may set. This could turn into a big deal if they don't settle.

How was MKG going to earn $40 million at that point lol. Did his lawyers spin a wheel to come up with that compensation amount?

I think he stole enough money in his career and now he's trying to steal more.
