Nowitzky trainer talked about that recently when asked about Wemby. He sayed he shoudn't focus on trying to build weight, that would eventually break him down, and that his game doesnt need it.
I'm talking specifically Holmgren. Holmgren weighs less than 195 lbs and is over 7 feet tall. I'm not here saying the kid needs to get to 245, but for someone with zero muscle mass he will benefit greatly with another 20-25 lbs which will make him harder to guard, less of an injury risk all while without losing any quickness. Noob gains are a real thing and even the most basic lifting regimen would've done wonders for him during the later stages of his recovery during the last year.
