These Boston fans are gonna be very upset when they learn this doesn't count towards their record.

Paul Reed and MO Bamba looked lost on both ends this game . Hopefully it's just getting used to the nuances of Nurse style because damn they stunk it up.lol

Maxey and Springer the backcourt of the future. Start them both and get on with it.

takeaways: Maxey is gonna have a year! Paul Reed unchained! Toby please stay.

Prediction: miss the playoffs if guys don't buy in to Nurse' schemes. Looking at you, Joel

I know you’re fishing for outrage, but does not “buying in” mean Joel has a season ending injury? Otherwise, there’s no conceivable way we miss the playoffs.

Doc's reply is always going to be. Paul Reed ? "He was not ready he had to sit and learn the game!"
Jaden Springer ? "He was not ready he had to sit and learn the game!"
Maxey? "Oh he was not ready but Simmons forced our hand !"
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

Springer is now a legit 2 way player. That block on Tatum was reel worthy. Doc had this guy rotting on the bench. I see the future backcourt with him and Maxey.

My thoughts:
- impressed with Springer. I silently thinks he might be a guy were trying to hide under the radar during the training camp.
- happy that we didnt give up a couple of firsts for Jrue. Not that Jrue is bad. But I like what I saw from Springer, Pat Bev and Danny Green
- Paul Reed is just excited. I think his offense is much improved and he’s mostly excited and partly bother with the length Celts had.
- I see the 2021-2022 Tobi aggressiveness
- Oubre looks good but his shots aren’t falling
- Bamba played Jojo’s role on this team tonight but he just ain’t that life.
- We looked like a better rebounding team, so far
- we played a lot of Pat Bev-Springer-Maxey duo and trio, their defense looks good. They swarm and close out well.
- Maxey played like he’s the best player on the court
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

I dont think its that. Springer has just 0 guard abilities to start his career. And his 3pt shooting is still up in the air, although it looks promising. That and we always had a lot of guard depth on our team.

Agree, Regular Season Embiid is too good of a player for us to miss Playoffs.

My concern will be complete lack of distribution capabilities. Still seems Maxey is lacking and if we don’t have Harden, I have no idea who will be creating these opportunities on offense.

Everyone will be responsible for distribution instead of relying on just one guy to pound the air out of the rock. Motion offense baby!

Isn’t that we did pre Harden and had the most dysfunctional offense in the league?

At least it would no longer would it be 4 v 5 in the half court offense (Ben).

Not really. Offensive Rating by year:

2017-18: 12th
2018-19: 8th
2019-20: 12th
2020-21: 13th
2021-22: 12th
2022-23: 4th

Above average offense every season. And you can give Harden credit for our 4th place finish last year, but you also have to give a lot of it to Embiid who took his game to the next level, and got tons of those points via ISO.

Bottom line, losing a ballhog like Soften ain't the end of the world. Can't have a motion offense with his ballstopping ways and total incompetence off the ball.

I’d give Embiid a ton of credit for those years prior to Harden since he was carrying the offense in spite of Ben sabotaging that end of the court. We had to run DHO and endlessly spam post touches to get anything going. It was truly a disaster. A contending team with an MVP candidate shouldn’t be outside of top 10 on O if the rest of the team is constructed decently.
