10/550 has been discussed, within the organization.

Given the bidding and given the state of the Sox they'll need to overpay. 550 does seem like a slight one but you really are getting 2 for the price of 1 long term

Not really. They replaced Timelord and Grant with an All-Star calibre big who is taller than the two of them combined. Queta and Gabriel contributing would be nice but our front court has gotten better and deeper than last season, not worse.

Porzingis will go down in game 4 and be out for a month. And who is going to guard Embiid? Al may be ready for assisted living by the time the playoffs roll around.

You could convince me Pritchard/Hauser/Tatum/horford/Kornet vs Jrue/White/Jaylen/Brisset/KP is a close game.

I’ll just point out again that Miami got through Milwaukee and Boston with a front court of Bam/Butler with either Love or Zeller playing 10 min. as back ups. The year before GS won it all with Looney/Green.

I’d love to have insurance in case Gabriel, Quetas and Brissett turn out to be Kabengele/Vonleh/Ojeleye types and Kornet fails. That said, Horford/KP is a much stronger front court than what we had last year.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

"Secondo un executive NBA, i Boston Celtics potrebbero muoversi per Mitchell Robinson entro la trade deadline."

[Transation]:

According to an NBA executive, the Boston Celtics could make a move for Mitchell Robinson before the trade deadline.

Mitchell Robinson makes ~15 Million, so we'd have to trade Horford and some combination of bench players for him.

BTW, Horford would still get a ring if we won and he was traded, like Nomar did for the Redsox in 2004. Is it worth it? Robinson is an elite shotblocker and rebounder, like Rob...

That is interesting indeed. I wonder who the NBA executive is? If not initials B.S., this may just be some BS.

Will be interesting to see how it plays out. Morey did not blink when it came to Simmons, but Harden demanding to go to philly, breaking the deadlock. Does a team break the deadlock for Philly 2nd time round?

Brad rarely misses. He missed on Grimes. Those four FRPs won't help us win a title right now.

Is Robinson any good at this point? I haven't followed him, I remember a hyper-athletic counting stats guy.

Pretty good yeah; best offensive rebounder in the game. Good defender though not elite

I would say there's zero chance the Celtics are trading Horford... unless,
he gets injured and is out for the season.

Anybody on the team (including Horford) will be traded if the right deal comes along. See exhibit 1: Smart, Marcus.

Mitch was my guy that year in the draft until Williams fell but this would undoubtedly have to be a 3 team deal. Not sure what the Knicks would do with Al at this stage in his career. Even them wanting to unload Mitch for picks is odd, unless they’re trying to clear cap for another star. In which case they’d still want nothing to do with Horford
