Yep, his rim protection is real, but he needs to study Powell and Maxi on offense and see how they help Luka in his drives.

Yeah i know what you mean but for now... i will be happy if he can at least do what Powell and Maxi couldn't. And that's consistently be a presence under the rim, deflecting shots, box outs or simply disrupt shots, something Mavs didn't have since KP was traded.

But yeah, he has to get a lot stronger, that should be his nr1 priority, Gobert simply moved him out of his way lol. I'm perfectly fine if he is only an above the rim threat for now, i don't expect him to score a lot of points but DEFENSE and REBOUNDS is what i want from him.

It's not even about points. Kleber and even Powell make a life a lot easier for Luka. Lively can put a basic screen long distance from the basket and that's it. He should have been defensive juggernaut to make up for his offensive play.

You're asking for too much for a 1st year player who has yet to play a real NBA game. Relax and enjoy the show. We're in sunny Madrid now. Weather's good and the food is great. You talk as if you're in Gaza. LOL forget those jews and just enjoy the game.

Grant Williams isnt going to grow on us fondly ,his shortness around the basket will become more and more noticeable. He was added as 3rd starter status without playing a minute of basketball for the Mavs. He had DNP games in the playoffs as he was completely taken out of the rotation. This is the desperate state of the Mavs at Center and PF positions.

I'm not expecting anything from him, the guy, who is starting him, is.

I don't know about weather in Madrid, but I'm going to Athens tomorrow, so I guess sun won't be the problem. ;)

Weirdly enough, he looked the best on defense along with Green in these two preseason games. I think he's a big upgrade even over DFS who wasn't that impressive last season.

After 6 months of NBA if Lively will not be better than Powell so probably he is a bust.

I think NBA rules since in all my years of watching i haven't seen an NBA game with FIBA rules.

Luka won't play a lot due to left calf strain. Kyrie also out due to groin injury.

I think the major problem is having Grant guarding KAT. I think the result may repeat in season opener in which SAS starts VW at 4.
