He definitely hindered growth Scottie's growth.
Killed me when Fred had the audacity to call Scottie his "project".

refs won't be able to call an offensive foul on him b/c of it.
once he realizes he can bulldoze guys to the basket 9 out of 10 times, it's over. he won't even need a 3 point shot at that point.

Scottie ready to take a BIG step up this season
despite certain skillset limitations (shooting), he clearly had the ability to bully his way to scoring almost at will last year….he did it ALL the time in the 4th quarter, when opposing defences are MOST on point. main issue was his ability to do that all game…seemed like a stamina/conditioning/mindset thing…
the fact that Scottie brought up conditioning as a focus this last off season specifically so he can dominate like that all game…looks like he put in right kind of work and has the mindset to step up and dominate this season

How many times last years did we see him completely take over the 4th Q and put up like 12/5/5 in the last 6 minutes of the game after being completely invisible for most of it. He's so strong and solid around the rim that just being aggressive will get him a bunch of points in the paint off rebounds, put backs and free throws because most NBA players can't body up with him, especially when teams have a wing on him. He could put up something like 20 / 8 / 6 without much of a jumper if he just played at a high pace all game. A consistent jumper would take him to a whole other level.

Ball movement and lack of pecking order will unleash Scottie
