Mark will low ball him and he'll move on
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I feel like Counsell is going to leave. I did not think that earlier in the season, but I think he may want to go somewhere with less financial constraints and may just be ready for a change.

Also, excited for playoff baseball. This is really the only time of the year I'll watch non-Brewers games.

I think I felt the sigh of relief of their fanbase after they won yesterday. They are going to be fired up today to possibly close out.

Has there been anything thoughtful written about this anywhere? I'm not talking Barstool or Outkick. I'm legitimately interested in reading about this from a true neutral source, because I don't really know what to think.

Maybe a more neutral source is gathering information since reporting things quickly has already stung some people in this story...it's hard to see that there wasn't some foul play/he got somewhat screwed given what he provided in the video - unless he falsified that.

He could've done some crappy stuff but if we're gonna let Marcell Ozuna come back or whatever, he probably clears that bar.

My hope is we get a more journalistic version of what's out there. What Bauer put out definitely doesn't look good for the female accuser. That said, there's still three more out there and smoke, fire, etc.

I may watch the last couple of innings of any game 7's, otherwise I'm done with baseball until next season.

I've already done what I do every early October and unfollowed every baseball related account. As far as I'll know the sport won't exist until the Winter Meetings.

Yeah I’ll struggle to watch too. I do love October baseball but not going to seek it out. Not sure who I even want to win it, or if I care.

It will be interesting to see what Stearns does with more money. The Mets still have to pay almost $50 million for Scherzer/Verlander/McCann for 2024. Current players under contract are at about $148 million so he's at $200 million already. A bunch of arb guys that I don't think will add up to much.

I remember when Andrew Friedman went from the Rays to the Dodgers and immediately made them more fiscally responsible before opening up the purse strings again. Basically had to get them to stop paying every Ethier, Crawford, Kemp, and Adrian Gonzalez so much, saving it for guys who truly warranted that kind of pay based on their age and level of consistent production. The payroll never really went down that much, but it was a new paradigm for sure, and they kept nearly all of their best prospects despite multiple chances to trade guys like Seager or Buehler in win-now moves. I expect a similar transition in NYM.

Not fun to see the D-Backs beating up on those Dodgers by the way. Shows that the Brewers could just as easily have competed with them if not for some trash luck, which makes the wild card loss even worse.

We talked about how any team can get hot in the playoffs and make a run. 84 win Arizona out here proving this exact sentiment.
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

I kind of wonder if Arizona tanked that last weekend to get the Brewers/Dodgers path vs Phillies/Braves.

I didn’t even realize since 2008 that all 6 teams that knocked us out went to the World Series, and 5 of them won it. Obviously this year is still TBD but Arizona could make it 7 for 7 if stay hot. ****…
