Haven't seen anything yet, he was seen by a specialist yesterday morning, but that's the last word we got. Hopefully its good news, but the silence is kind of scaring me a bit, really looking forward to the depth in our young department, really wanted to see him play some meaninful minutes in the upcoming pre season games.

I am now expecting them to hold him out during the preseason. I think the Heat need to adjust some of their workout regiment for bigs. Jovic has played a lot if basketball this summer. And players his age can over do it because they never had major injuries growing up. I remember over doing it working out when I was 19. I got a cyst in my left wrist from working out too much on my shoot form. I was teaching myself to shoot ambidextrous. Since then my left wrist is very sensitive to workouts. The cyst will return if I don't ice my wrist.

Once you start having knee problems its usually a sign if irreversible damage. He has to be careful. I am currently suffering from the workouts I did when I was young. I currently had a doctor look at my knees and say knee replacement is in my future.

Im on the same boat as you with my knees, except mine were due to the Military, I got out after 8 years and never went after disability because I didn't want the process to slow down to get out, had to see a bunch of doctors and waits months for appointments, and also didn't want to have a disability I though it would hurt getting a job in the civilian world. Looking back I should of done it, really hard to prove it now.

Depending on what the issue is I wouldn’t mind bringing in Kai. He’s super athletic, he could polish his skills here and become a really solid player.

Based on how he’s acting I feel like he got some laced drugs/weed on accident and it may have messed him up. I know 2 guys that has happened to and they haven’t been the same since. One would definitely be in the NBA now, sad to see

I looked into it a little and people been saying that video is not an isolated incident. Good chance he is an addict and a person who doesn't want help. Nothing you can do for a person who doesn't want help.

Right, if you want to possibly poison the Heat environment that helps make players excel bring in the problematic talent. Plain and simple, he's not talented enough to look past his issues, it would be a nightmare situation for Miami behind the scenes. He's starting to compile a history of these type of incidents/issues.

For 3ammy3uck3ts... did you not see him causing issues with teammates on social media talking about how he was better than specific teammates, you can do that in house which creates competition or just kidding around, but you can't be putting that type of talk out in public where players now have to answer questions about it. Adding him is just asking for locker-room issues.

I took it as him messing with his teammates or just being competitive but I understand things are a lot softer these days than they used to be

Just think of it like say.... a year or 2 ago Strus or Ducan where publicly talking about how much better they were than the other one, it would create an issue in the locker room and put a tension in the air that doesn't need to be there. I watched this kind of thing split the OKC locker room where it ended in two factions which were the Westbrook faction vs R.Jackson faction which causing so many issues that OKC shipped out some useful players like R.Jackson.

Jovic knee is day to day, they said they’re relieved to find it’s good.

Also, the D team are the only ones traveling to SA to play Friday night. Would’ve liked to see Herro in the 4th and Bam the 2nd half against the Hornets if the plan was to rest but oh well

I got some scoopage from my guy who was also the one who told me about Strus signing with the Cavs the day before it happened.
Doesn't currently concern the Heat but *maybe* Riley and Andy can take advantage of their situation between now and the deadline.

Allegedly there is a potential mess brewing in Utah between the FO (Ainge) and their coaching staff. Ainge has been grating on everybody/sticking his nose everywhere including in the coaching decisions which is a reason Fizdale went running out of Utah after one season. Ainge has even been dictating minutes for players. He didn't listen to his HC who did NOT want John Collins but Ainge can't help himself when it comes to hoarding assets. Their HC also pleaded for a pure/vet PG to replace Conley but Ainge has the roster littered with something like 5 combo scoring guards who all expect minutes. They have a new younger owner who has also been sticking his nose into things which is why they resigned his buddy Clarkson to a big upfront contract but they now want him to take a backseat to some of the kids on the roster. Nobody is happy and I'm assuming they are going to make several deals just to get out of some of those contracts namely John Collins who does not fit at all next to their young center Walker Kessler. Kessler might have to go back to the bench just to accommodate Collins. They like all their draft picks but don't have minutes for them including the PF they just picked at #9. They likely end up dealing a big chunk of their roster by the deadline like they did last season and the players already know it. Last season Lakers made it to the WC Finals after getting some players in a trade at the deadline.

Point being there are some potentially good rotation pieces including Sexton, Clarkson, Olynyk and Collins that could be had by the deadline. Alot of it might depend on whether the Heat organization is willing to swap out a huge expiring contract for longer deals. Riley would obviously need to hold his nose to deal with Ainge and a few of those players are repped by Klutch.

Hearing this kind of stuff really makes it so much easier to appreciate the job Riley has done in Miami. Pat runs a really tight ship so the info that comes out typically comes from other teams.

I can buy this.

And Sexton is the only name mentioned that would interest me, he might be underrated and we have a big hole at PG
