Jrue previously said he will retire after this contract is done.

I believe him. He already has a ring, he's made a ton of money, and he has an awesome family. I'd retire and enjoy my life too.

EDIT: Oh, he's got a player option for 2024-2025. Well, that's really rolling the dice then.

It doesn't have to be, but I bet it will

I'm thinking given they waited this long to trade Dame POR wasn't all that impressed with what the contending teams had to offer. If it's more of the same for Jrue the Hornets have a shot.

Even less of a reason to trade for him.

Since the Bucks need some wing depth, I wonder if they'd want Martin or Thor.

they really need a wing defender as Crowder is a bit slow for shooting guards now, Martin needs a healthy knee though.

i cant see anything exciting for them to offer?

That was my question, what are we trying to take from them.

Jrue dealt to the Celtics for players and picks. Brogdon one of those dealt, and reportedly Blazers will seek to trade him. Could this be our chance to possibly get a true PG and deal them Rozier? Not sure what fit they are looking for. Perhaps Hayward for Malcom and another player? Does it make enough of a difference to even consider it?

He's just as injury prone as Hayward now. Not enough.

It helps a lot more if any one of our many young SGs pans out into a competent rotation piece. If any one of McGowens, Bouk (lmao), NSJ, Bailey, or even Sumner can give us a consistent 15-20mpg, I think moving 70-80 games of Rozier for 50-60 games of Brogdon is worth it. The fit is that much better.

I'm also in the camp of starting LaMelo, Mark, and three forwards (any combo of Bridges, Hayward, PJ, Miller if ready) rather than starting Rozier again. Brogdon would solve the main issues we have with Rozier (defense and playmaking). Brogdon's no expert playmaker himself, but at least won't **** himself when asked to run point when LaMelo is out.

We aren't a playoff team, so we aren't getting any players that are remotely valuable.

i will go on record to say that I think that Rozier is ok when we have a full squad, he can be a weapon scoring on the wing.

Defensively is meh though, but we don't have a good 2 way option available.

I wonder what we'd have to add to Bouknight and Kai to get Delon Wright from the Wizards?

Ntilikina has only been in the league for 6 years. How was Mitch supposed to know that he's not a NBA level point guard?

The way old coach Clifford the dog gushes about Frank it makes me wonder if it was HIS idea? Mitch was probably out of options after yet another FAILURE to secure a good player.

Frank is literally MCW but french, of course he's Clifford's guy. It's the GM's job to push back on dumb **** like this signing so screw them both

Also both a coach and GM problem as well, but they're both going into this season with the delusion that Terry is a viable PG option. Theo is the 3rd stringer.

Real amazing that we paid Terry based on his performance at his natural position alongside quality PGs and then play him out of position for the entirety of his near-star-level contract

would you trade Hayward for Jerami Grant. He doesn't fit Portlands rebuild, we tie up money that we were going to give to Miles and get a solid defensive 3/4 who was shooting 40% from 3 and scored 20 points a game.

I’d love to get Grant, but sure it would take much more than Hayward…at least a first round pick +.
