Imagine that! Glad he went top 10 so I don't have to bitch about a missed opportunity for 15 years.

Honestly, the bucks should just hand you the draft.

You were in on bilal. You wanted to trade up for Eason/Mark Williams, maxey, Haliburton if my memory serves me correctly.

Were you a Booker guy as well?

I'm not sure anyone could have accurately predicted Bookers career arc. What he's become skill set wiae is so so different than how he was viewed as a prospect. But that happens when you're trying to project an 18 yr old who came off the bench on a loaded college team.

I wouldn't have called myself a Booker guy. I liked him alright at Kentucky but it took me a long time to come around on him as a pro. Don't think I fully accepted him as a really good player until the Finals. I liked Maxey but Riot was *the* Maxey guy.

The rest of them, yep. Giannis is my crown jewel. I'm claiming an early win on Dre also.

So dramatic. NBA has given it's players too much power and now you reap what you sew.

Besides guys that have committed obvious atrocities Harden has to be among the least likeable big name dudes in the history of the league, he just has a **** personality

Grow up, James. Also, why would somebody who has never been married use marriage as a reference point?

To be fair I think Booker has slowly and steadily improved his game. Some of the past criticizims about D and turnovers were fair to an extent. I say to an extent because some of it was when he was like 19 years old and one of like two players on the suns roster who could actually dribble a basketball.

Judging young guys on terrible teams can be hard.

And a lot of Houston fans will still defend Harden to the death lol. If Morey is gonna sabotage yet another season because of his refusal to deal a toxic, depreciated asset, then that franchise deserves to lose Embiid.

honestly i think the lesson im taking from all these player empowerment trades is if you basically ignore that **** and hold to your guns it works out either better in the end or worse case about the same. i think the teams that roll over to this crap are the ones that are sabotaging themselves.

Still beats having him being a giant distraction for that entire roster and organization for the next 4-6 months. I honestly think this is gonna get worse/uglier than the Simmons saga if they don't move him soon. It's a 34-year old, expiring Harden with no motivation to stay in game shape while he sits out. No one's increasing their offers.

Send him home then. He's only a distraction if you allow him to be one.

altho weve seen in the past that teams have increased their offers time and again even when there was only one legitimate trade partner.

It's hard to like or take Hardens side on anything but it sure seems like there was some type of under the table promise of a future contract when James signed his discounted extension. Or at the very least James and his agent thought there was.

Now regardless of how it went down I have zero sympathy for Morey and the sixers because they knew what they were signing up for with James.

And I'm sure they'll do just that. But I'd argue that they're a better team if they just take Norm Powell, Nic Batum, and Brandon Boston Jr. and call it a day.

I don't think it'd be hard to "lose" a trade that still made the 6ers better than they were with Harden.
