Great game for Nurkic to show how well he can fit into this team. His strengths on offense are everything that we will ask out of him this year, any scoring will just be a cherry on top. His passing ability will shine with the talent around him. It's nice to have a center that seeks out contact instead of actively avoiding it, we're not going to see near as many fade aways and ghost screens this year.

Our guard rotation looks very strong. Booker, Beal, Gordon, Allen, and Goodwin (briefly) all look like they deserve their fair share of playing time. I still think we would benefit from a traditional point guard off the bench, but we've moved the ball well enough so far that I'm not as concerned.

I wish I felt more confident in our wing rotation. Okogie has played well so far and brings the defense, but he's a bit undersized and hard to trust in the playoffs without more long-term results on offense. KBD doesn't seem to have stepped into the starting role like many were hoping, and his shot seems a bit flat and inconsistent. Yuta has done well with his opportunities, but it's mostly been with/against 2nd and 3rd stringers. Little plays hard, but he seems to have a long way to go offensively too. At least we can be confident that Ish Wainwright won't be getting minutes lol.

It's going to be a fun season. This team can seriously score the ball, and I don't think the drop off on defense will be near as big as some believe.

I’d rather have Biyombo back than him tbh.

Azubuike is on a two-way deal, Biyombo can't sign that contract.

I’d take Biyombo over Bol Bol then.

I'm not worried about the D because that's Vogels specialty and he should be able to figure something out.

Plus this is a mature group who all know they are a real contender. I think the effort and attention to detail will be there and that's a huge aspect of playing solid D.

Not being able to watch games so far only impressions are from box-scores and highlights of this game. First halves of Pistons and Blazers games look great to get hyped up for upcoming season, so will try to watch them over the weekend. A lot of new faces and seeing a player with Nr 25 was odd. Also curious to see Okogie's role with the starters on offense, was he used to bring the ball up the court, etc.

When things really got rolling in the Pistons and Blazers games both Beal and Nurkic had expressions of "so this is what it's like on a really good team" with huge smiles. Nice to see.

Vogel made Hibbert look like a great C once upon a time.
Im sure he'll find a way into Nurkic as well.

Perhaps it should be Biz instead of Bol

Mainn takeaways about this game:

- Expect best season in apg from Durant in career. I like him as point forward
- Nurkic is giving effort and also nice 2 on 2 game with KD
- Gordon is HUGE pick up
- Booker best SG in league by wide margin
