to

PG, SG, G, SF, PF, F, C, Util, Util, BN, BN, BN, IL+, IL+, IL+, IL+?

There is no advantage of using IL vs IL+.

You might need to reset the rosters in order to change the roster positions as a commisoner, iirc. So better to do it sooner than later if indeed this is what we want.

For example: In a fictional scenario, I'd be trading Lamelo Ball and Mark Williams for pick 72 and 74. That's two open roster spots, for the picks, and slimcharles would fill the two potential roster spots with players right away. would such a deal be allowed in this league?

(note:sorry slim charles, its not an actual offer, just to illustrate the question with the type ofmoving pieces)

Yeah I agree with what you said in the dm. I don't really see an issue with it as long as it's during the draft and not before.

EVERY player seems over the top... Chris Paul will never play sg, that doesnt make sense.

You can do it case by case, for as long as yahoo doesnt fix it. In my other dynasty league, I have adjusted the clear cases:
Gafford from PF to PF, C
Looney from PF to PF, C

I think Smart will get SF as well this year.

I didn't notice that. In general I will probably be very conservative with changing eligibility, if at all unless it's stupid stuff like in the past years where many exclusive centers also somehow had PF. So yeah if I change things it will only be obvious spots.

There are definitely players who should only have 1 position, namely small short PGs who have not played off ball (ex Trae Young or FVV), and centers who are laterally slow (Jokic, Lopez), usually they are tall rim runners too (Ayton, Landale).

And it goes without saying very, very few players should have 3 positions as well. Yahoo in the past has not removed player eligibilities even when a player stops playing a certain position. If that's the case this year then I will deliberate removing eligibility.

Increasing player position eligibility too much can also start to infringe on the purpose of having positions in the first place.

And one thing I do not want is getting spammed with requests for positional changes where it's like a guy only plays a certain position very sparsely. Like let's say Mikal who is obviously SG/SF gets a couple minutes at PF in like 3 or 4 games a month into the season - I don't want to even consider something like that. Or like LeBron center minutes lol.

I'll check around if Josh Lloyd has any recommendations on that subject as well.

Sorry, I accepted a trade earlier before I was on the clock, but just saw I was up.

Anyway, the trade is, Zach Lavine and Miles Bridges for Cam Johnson and this pick.

Unfortunately he is in the Netherlands and it's just past 4 there. I wish I told him who I would have taken with the pick and if he agreed I could have drafted for him, but we may have a few hours or more.
