Anyway, I know it may be my personal problem, but when any player starts to get too much hype I find myself rooting against them on principle. It isn’t always a good look. But with that said, I can tell I am going to be a huge Wemby hater, adding him to my history with LeBron, Durant, Luka, Zion and many others. All the tweets from last night’s preseason game make me unreasonably angry

Anyone reflexively hate the media wonder boys?

I have no feelings for Wemby, the hype is what irks me. I don't like when new players are compared to the full career of an actually player and we're told they will be better when they have not played a game yet. That is disrespectful for all the hard work that the older player has put into their careers and for people to feed off that and attach it to the new player put an irrational anger in me. Also the fans are weird with their takes. It's like they refuse to let anything play out before they declare someone incredible. What's even worst, if a player does not reach the insane potential that people have for such player, then they are looked on as a bust or a disappointment for what they should have theoretically should have done, which is not fair to the player.

Jesus that Wemby game was nuts. No doubt he has to prove it but for projection purposes how the hell do you beat that guy in 4 years
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

We’ll see if his body holds up. Yao, Porzingis, Oden, Sampson, Ilgauskus, even Bol. The history of extra big guys lasting long before major joint injuries is checkered to say the least.

Over two games, Kuminga averages 25 ppg, 5 rpg, 3,5 apg and shoots like 60% for 3

Time to put some coin into 6th man award

VIctor... :o

Transition. Right at 3 point line he gets ball, second step he is already at FT line, third step he is flying to dunk. And he had that drive with left hand, for a dunk over person. With his worst hand

It's just cartoonish. Guy can average 20-10-2 in his sleep

I love seeing him start to come good after a few seasons. This is why you don’t rush consolidation trades on undeveloped young guys. With a good system and patience they’re worth waiting for the payoff.

Podzilla is looking real good as their PG off the bench too!

Kuminga just turned 21, he should have been sophmore, not in third year.

Tbh warriors already cleaned the house and did considilation trades. Wiseman and Poole gone.

Watched Victor last night, and I didn't thought his game would translate so quickly to the NBA. Nobody on the Heat knew how to defend him and it the game was easier for him than the ones he had in the Pro A french league.

He's a real life cheat code in the NBA.

I wanna see Victor go against the real physical bruisers in the league in a regular game. You know, the ones that wanna see themselves in espn highlights by bullying Victor.

We will see how Vic's body holds up. Can you imagine a 6'10 270lbs WCJ elbowing and grinding Victor downlow? Or a 280lb 7ft Embiid doing his post moves?

But he isn't that thin, guy weights 230 pounds.

Imagine if he puts in work and gets to 260 pounds and sustains that mobility

That is good if the reports of him being 230lbs is legit. However, even if it is, it has to spread throughout that 7-4 body. So like I said, I really wanna see what happens when he gets bodied up by the bruisers of the league. You know with Wemby's hype a lot of guys in the league just wanna "baptize" him.

Watching the wemby highlights and I think he needs to slow down, and focus on establishing dominance within the first quarter on defense. Similar to how Bill Russell used to run.

I don't think he needs to play as tall / big as he does. Hopefully the Spurs continue to focus on load management and his minutes. I would like to see him play in his 40's.

He should focus on getting 2 blocks per quater and average 8 a game :D

Well my point is, if he gets 2 blocks in the 1st quarter the opponent offense will be under his control more or less and he can focus on keeping them honest the rest of the unless they are dumb enough to try it 2x+ for the next 3 quarters.

I do not have love for Wemby in the sense of how great he can be. I do hate seeing potentially good to hall of fame caliber players get injured and play the what if game. But seeing that happen with Grant Hill does that to you as a child.

Is Terrance Mann really this relevant?

Find it hard to believe he's holding up a Harden deal.

I had to google him if that gives you any sort of context. So...no?
