Kayla Thornton played like she wanted to fight someone. I love it

That was unnecessary, but i have some issues with ABC/ESPN's decisions during these games as is.

CG didn't have a great game stats wise but is a crucial cog to how Aces wheel turns. I hope it's something she can return from. Sometimes the initial pain and the injury don't match.

I get Parker being out. Is Williams DNP or inactive? Plum played 40 minutes :o. Hammon channelling her inner Thibs or giving TP flashbacks lol

Aces dealing with internal tribulations now. But they are still one game away from history.

Anyway, quality game by NY. Much better compete level and much better execution on both ends.

We have a series now.

This Liberty team is so much more dangerous when Ionescu is looking to facilitate instead of playing hero ball.
I hate to say it because she is awesome, but sometimes I think she's bought into her own hype a bit too much. It's OK to be more Nash than Kobe, especially when you have a great team around you.

Been kind of her thing all season long and the progress hasn't been linear. Teams like to trap her because they believe she wont make the right play out of that. Some games they're wrong and SI comes out gunslinging with quick passes. But often times they're right and she stays in shot hunting mode for a step too long and makes a bad play.

We've seen Sabrina absolutely put endless daggers in an opponent to put a game away. But overall I think her game is a mixed bag. The defense and playmaking is not consistent at all, and her scoring aggression is boom or bust.

The sad part is JVG is that Kelsey's husband (we're going to just refer to him as that on here :) ) actually had a legit chance to score if he didn't get mugged by the defender on that last play :-?

Too bad the team sucks...having Plumdawg on the sidelines at Met Life would be way cooler to me than Taylor Swift showing up

Sabrina was finally calm, patient and took what the defense gave her the entire game, and then when the time came she finally got an open look for an absolutely crushing deep bomb. That's how she has to play her game...Vegas is smartly doubling her aggressively on the arc and daring Vandersloot to shoot (and honestly, Sloot not looking for her shot pisses me off)

If Vegas wants to keep doubling, move the rock. Lainey and Thornton are eager to let it fly, and Stewie and Jonquel are going to do Stewie and Jonquel things

Agreed 100%. I get that she wants to play like a superstar and hit those crowd rocking threes, but this is high level competition she's up against. She has to play disciplined and make everyone around her better...the gravity that she draws defensively ensures that someone is going to get a shot opportunity, she just needs to make the read. Probing for shots against the Aces is asking for trouble.

Chelsea Gray and Kiah Stokes are both out for tomorrow's game. Both with undiagnosed foot injuries.

This is quite a major development. With Candace Parker already out, the Aces are now down 2 starters and their backup big. Cayla George, Sydney Colson, and Kierstan Bell are the mostly likely candidates to join the rotation. None of them really played much this year and haven't been successful rotation players at the WNBA level.
