Definitely looks like Griff is going to do some different stuff on defense. Some switching and hard hedges on pnr’s. Hard double in the post a few times. Sprinkled in some zone. Guys were flying around more

With the wealth of knowledge of the posters here re: the NBA, can posters answer this question in all sincerity? Why has Dame only brought the ball up like 3 times out of 30 on-court possessions? Giannis has brought it up more. Thanks.

atlanta got him if i remember? some guy like that needs to be there tho. somebody that can knock down an open 3 and is quick feet pest and can use his body on defense.... who understands that side and takes pride on it.

beasley looks like a guy who wants to be that guy but still plays all his minutes rating his impact offensively and just cant help it

i can see hes trying to be "that guy" defensively when it occurs to him....but he isnt quick enough and just hasnt developed the tools to be effective even with effort

i can honestly say i wont be angry with him. he is trying on defense. but as much as its effort theres still technique and skill and tools and....he doesnt have it

Of course it's too early for drawing conclusions but i think our defense will be extraordinary this year, Griffin is indeed a defensive wizzard, i can feel it in my bones. It will take a little time to find our offense flow, id est, give the ball to Dame you dummies

But then, only injuries can stop us (Middleton, i am looking at you)
