Reath looking pretty good for Portland. He does kind of look like prime Z-Bo.

Goodwin looking really good. Good IQ, plenty of hustle, always around the ball, and he looks closer to Okogie size than a point guard size. He's going to be part of the rotation

Bates Diop also showing that Spurs DNA with some defensive plays and some good reads and passes.

Can they hit the 3 consistently? If they can both will be excellent role players

This team is going to shred some offensive records this year.

Grayson Allen is going to have one of those freaky 48% from 3pt range kind of years

Durant seems happier and like he's coming out of his shell a bit more lately.

I really wonder what could have been had we pulled off the Crowder trade for Grayson Allen which apparently we did not want last season.

Then again Monty might not have played him much since he liked Shamet so much.

I feel it man. More shooters, more guys that bring the hustle, and you have big Nurk in the middle setting bonecrunching screens with deft little passes. Can tell Goodwin and Yuta will be fan favs off the bench with their hustle and enthusiasm

Also no Ayton helps

100 percent between cp3 walking the ball up the court every time and lack 9f ball movement I wasn't enjoying watching the team as much as I had previously. Hate to say it because he was great for the Suns but I'm glad cp3 is gone.

Goodwin 4 steals in 7 minutes, Okogie +22

Great signs from our defensive specialists.

Just need Nurkic to be a factor and give top 10 defense a shot.

to be fair though, during the 64 win season, we were plenty fun to watch, especially during the 18 win streak. all the clutch wins we had that year were exciting as ****, and CP was a big part of that. we will need that clutch gene again this year after we seemingly lost the ability to win close games as well last season.

Booker 30
Durant 30
Beal 30
Nurk 20
Allen 20
Okogie 15
Gordon 10
Yuta 10
Eubanks 10

Seems do-able

Top 10 defense? We’d be lucky to be in top 12. Suns lost way too many good defenders Ayton, Paul, CamJ, Bridges to be in top 10. You’re banking on Okogie, KD to save this team defensively while everyone else watches? I’ll be heavily surprised if we are anywhere in top 12 on defense.

Yeah, I was thinking the same. There was a ton of hustle on that team..Bridges, Cam, Crowder, Craig, etc...

We will likely have more turnovers and more injuries than that year and the year before. Last year of course our team was injured the whole year though. Last year was just so bad it makes the last few years overall seem a lot worse too many.

BUT....CP3 had worn on a lot of teammates over the years...and I think he wore on people. The whole Crowder thing was weird and of course Ayton.

But we lost to the best team last year at least and played them better than anyone...same with the finals year. But Paul really failed us in that Dallas series after our 2-0 lead. Turned it over a ton suddenly, fouled out in a game, couldn't play D and was targeted by Luka, and completely lost his midrange game. He had obvious injury, but it might have been better without him. Then of course no one showed up in game 7....game 6 not so good either after the Luka special.

Ya it was a scrapy bunch but they won about 20 games in the last minute never felt like a dominant team. I just don't enjoy watching the ball walked up the court and playing half court basketball all the time. Not my jam.

But for sure the last 5 minutes was exciting because every damn game was close that year.
