Can't believe it's been an hour and a half and nobody on this board has suggested signing Porter. You all disappoint me.

No it was a medical issue, knee if I recall correctly, that led to the drop.
Had surgery on his thumb but it was mostly that he is an introvert which is silly

What no love for a porterhouse steak or a good porter beer?

Look, if I wanted to drink sewer sludge disguised as beer, I'd go down to Bradford Beach, bottle up a glass of Lake Michigan water, and slap a Guinness label on it.

Re: Around the League
Yeah there’s no such thing as a good porter beer. Next somebody is going to try and say that IPAs are good.

I'm California sober these days but when I did drink, Uncle Bears Peanut Butter Cup Porter was a favorite. Only one though or you'll get a stomach ache.
But yeah can't agrue that some of the Porters out there are swill.

Re: Around the League
All this talk of Porter made me go down a rabbit hole of what happened to Terry Porter after he was done coaching the Bucks. I totally forgot he was also the Head coach of the Suns briefly
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

Re: Around the League
Booth was a defensive beast in college hoops video games back in the late 90s. Real life too he was solid. Glory days of the big ten, before the dark times (of tv deals and money).
Given how well he’s managed the Nuggets, this is a big faux pas.
I’m going to go with jail at some point with his trajectory.

Make sure you put Bones Hyland below Michael Porter, Jr. Was told that by Calvin Booth himself.

Re: Around the League
Not to be mean but what I remember about Booth was he wasn't the most photogenic for his player headshots. Peculiar looking dude.

Really wish Booth would have gone a step further and qualified his statement on Bones lack of defense by starting the sentence with “As a former Big Ten defensive player of the year…”

Re: Around the League
Booth kinda unofficially ended the Stockton-Malone Jazz. They were definitely on the back 9 but when he was with the Mavs they beat them in a 1st round series and he made the game-winner in Game 5 and it was the first time the Jazz lost in the first round since 95.
