Too bad the Knicks are playing their b team, but our starters are doing what they're supposed to.

Jrue still looking for his place in the offense I think, otherwise? I mean you can't complain with 70+points in a half!

Side note: Jaylen I think is going to often be the scapegoat post loss. Despite being surrounded by an unselfish team that can score, JB continues to force it. He's gotta chillll...

Of course!

That's what happens when your 6 or 7 best players are all good to great on offense.

There's just nobody you can leave open with the current Celtics core.

Last season teams intentionally let Smart shoot and leave Rob open outside the paint.

He marches to the beat of his own drum. Kind way to describe how he wants to play ball.

On the bright side, it's only Jaylen now.

Cs can live with one player being out of control at times.

Last season there were two!

JB seems like the odd man out. I'm not sure how he really fits in. They just need a 3D guy at his position and he's paid like a 1A.

More thoughts:

Not to rub anyone the wrong way, but I think getting rid of Marcus Smart is going to be huge for this team. His ego really got in the way I think. The offense just looks so much smoother without him out there cosplaying as a point guard.

I'm still not a fan of bombs away Joe-ball but I'm willing to give this offense a chance.

I just love how many guys on this roster are willing to play team ball. Brad cleaned up ahell of a mess left by Danny.

We could have every one of our top 8 guys shoot above leave average from 3. I doubt that has ever been done before.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

FIRST HALF THOUGHTS

- Hartenstein would be a nice addition for the Celts.

- Can they trade JB at the Trading Deadline? Mr. Rinse and Repeat continues to skunk up the offense and
make the same mistakes we've seen now for years.

- Loved the Junk Yard Dogs: Pritchard and Jrue. They need to hit opposing teams with the Press every game.

- And the negative, Holiday a bit turnover prone: that was mentioned in the turnover stats, so a small weakness.

- Notice that Al is not smiling: I think between being mentioned in trade talks and being demoted, he is somewhat pissy.

- Let's have some low post plays for Porzingis: He can score you know down low, Mazzulla.

- Hopefully Porzingis's twiggy body can withstand most of the season, because he adds a fantastic low post deffensive
element.

No one is the odd man out. This team is fine as it is - we're gonna win the championship.

Best case scenario is JB figures it out during the course of the season.

Love him or hate him, Celtics are stuck with JB.

It's just a matter of time.

Worst case scenario is JB doesn't figure it out and the Celtics have not won Banner 18 by 2025.
If that's the case then the Cs will be forced to trade him.

Maybe we can get Ingram for Jaylen Brown in 2024 offseason.

Too early for that kind of talk.

It's for the best if we give JB until 2025.

Man that's always been the dream.

Even before all these trades Ingram has always fit with JT way better.

Yup, losing Marcus was big. JB is the next in line I think. If he keeps making the same mistakes, forcing things, silly turnovers, dudes gone next yr imo unless they win a title, but even then, I'm not so sure.

Sam Cassell saying the focus is defense. Bless his heart. Very glad to have him away from Doc and back in Boston

Offensive sets still stagnant a ton when Jaylen has the ball. It’s going to be an issue. The saving grace here is he has 4 guys to bail him out instead of one now

Do the Starters play in our last Preseason Game, in 2 days?
If not, then they'll go 8 Days before playing the Season Opener.
