It's probably a fantasy, but if we could move Bridges to a desperate team like the 76'ers or Pistons for some kind of asset it would be a massive win for the team.

I actually think the 76ers might be willing to play ball. They are screwed going forward and are counting on free agency next summer to convince Embiid to stay. If Miles is allowed to play him and Siakam are pretty much it when it comes to free agency.

Trade Miles and Hayward for Harden.

The life Bridges is living is so similar to what’s happening with Ja Morant. Here’s a recent ESPN article:

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/38674600/then-alligators-got-memphis-grizzlies-star-ja-morant-18-month-downfall

The last few sentences in that article are explicit in the Bridges situation. Worth the read.

Pretty sure the NBA would have announced if he was getting further punished by now right? Guessing we see this moron back in 10 days.

He still has a court date in November. I would expect NBA to see what happens there first.

https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/273651/Miles-Bridges-To-Have-Significant-Role-Upon-Return

Miles Bridges will complete his 30-game suspension this week. Bridges will be eligible to play in his first game in well over a year for the Charlotte Hornets on Friday. Upon Bridges' return, Hornets coach Steve Clifford expects Bridges to feature in lineups right away.

“I think he’ll be ready to play. He’s in practice every day. So, he’s been well organized when he’s there,” Clifford said of Bridges. “He’s in really good shape. He’s worked hard."

Clifford was unsure how he'd use Bridges, or if there would be any kind of minutes restriction. But the Hornets coach said Bridges would be a part of things immediately.

“That’s under worry about tomorrow’s problems tomorrow," Clifford said. "Right now our problems are: we don’t run back on defense, we don’t block out all the time, so I’ve been spending all my time on that.

“But he (Bridges) will have a significant role right away.”

Good…might as well see what he’s got to offer this squad. I’m damn sure he’s better than anyone on the bench and reasonably sure he’s better than PJ. I like Washington but he’s still as inconsistent as he’s always been. If Miles can get close to or at the level he was playing before stupid and pink juice erupted, he could be part of turning this around.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Will be interesting to see if they come to regret this decision but they've definitely taken a position

the wording of that statement is not what I would recommend as a professional writer. now you're on record saying you're "comfortable" dressing a player who has felonious acts on the record, and a pattern of continued abuse. could we have seen the last of his transgressions? maybe, but I wouldn't want to have money on that outcome.

I mean everyone knows like 20% of what happened in the latest allegations. I would assume the Hornets know closer to 80% if not 100%, but every twitter reporter who saw 1 police report are experts.

Clifford doesn't strike me as the type of guy would be so vocal about Miles and him playing if he thought it was super murky.

Pretty much. Our culture is judge ahead of the facts and often without them. Allegations are allegations until they’re proven to not be. I’m taking the wait approach and see what comes of it, which likely won’t be until the season is over.

I agree, but I actually find that comforting. They must have looked pretty deep into this to be willing to make a statement like that.

Yeah comfortable is a dumb choice of words but lol at the Twitter Karens/Helen Lovejoys thinking they know everything that happened.

Please parrot the term "poverty franchise" some more.

I am excited to see Miles play again.
The 3 things that I think he brings to us right away.
1. Toughness- Always felt like he was the guy to talk trash back to opposing teams.
2. Athleticism- not just with dunks but his ability to flash as a guy that can get loose balls, tough boards and put pressure on the rim.
3. Playmaking- He averaged nearly 4 assists from the 4 spot 2 years ago. We aren't getting any playmaking from PJ/Thor right now.

agreed. dumb choice of words.
lol at all the fans of other teams acting righteous, when we all know that if we cut miles tomorrow, half the teams in the league would at least inquire about signing him.

He’s a heck of a player. I’m not supporting his behavior- AT ALL. But that’s, imo, not something that, if he’s not in jail, should be the NBA or CHA’s responsibility to punish. I think CHA has done a good enough (I don’t like “comfortable” either) job of taking a strong moral position, but it’s reasonable to welcome him back on the court…with a cautious eye to his case. “We will be supportive of our guy . He has shown deep remorse and maturity and we hope the US legal system works out an appropriate penalty. Miles has seen that his choices blah blah…”

Again, I am NOT taking his behavior/ horrible crime lightly…I just don’t feel that every person and organization in his world have to take it upon themselves to be his judge and jury, beyond a reasonable degree.

This is a business and CHA has way too much talent to be struggling so much.
