Shams just tweeted out that Embiid is signing an endorsement deal with Skechers. I'm guessing the heart of every Philly fan who saw that or will see that without knowing it beforehand will skip a beat when they see it

To the surprise of noone.
I loved listening to some(not all) Boston media about the Dame trade and them rightly talking about Jrue's playoff numbers and fumbles and how great the trade is and then some days later, the same exact people talking about what a steal Jrue is for the Celtics and bringing up just his rs numbers and discussing how great having a true guard, who will not make any mistakes in the clutch handling the ball, is...

I don’t think he’s wrong about Smart being on the decline, but I’d at least be a like worried about Jrue. He finally made the All Star Team last season, but I thought he was better the previous two years here. Maybe that’s just indicative of him playing a bigger role, but it could be something bigger.

It’s a shame a team like Orlando didn’t get him. **** Boston

I’d take a flier on Roby.

I wouldn't be mad taking a flier on him but he was basically unplayable on a terrible Spurs team last season. I do remember him being good for OKC 2 years ago

First thought is that comes nowhere close to working financially, but maybe those were the only things Philly wanted that they viewed as positive assets and everything else was expiring contracts and Philly wasn't being picky about who the Clippers chose to add otherwise. The other thought is that and I realize that this might just be Harden being a malcontent, but it sounds like the offer came from Philly and the Clippers turned it down in which case why is he mad at Philly?

This all just sets up the perfect match and that's the Clippers trading for Brogdon instead, forming the ultimate "always hurt" Big-3 of all-time. It's destiny.

There's at least a small chance Harden never plays in the NBA again.

This is the last year he's making a big salary and I don't really see James doing the whole washed vet playing a few years in the minimum.

I don't really get the appeal of pairing Harden with Kawhi / PG / Russ that team seems like a reality show.

Extending Leonard and George would be plenty risky too. Good luck trading Harden on a long term deal after all this.

LMAO. Wemby dribbling the ball between the legs of a defender.

Harden was one of my favorite players by far when he was with OKC and his first year in Houston. He quickly became one of my least favorite players of all time shortly after that. I went from loving watching him play to actively despising watching him play.

Tons of good role players around Wemby. Zach Collins is going to be huge for them if he can stay healthy. Love his game.

Crazy to think that it wasn't that long ago Sixer's fans were being cocky as hell and claiming they had the east on lock for the next 2-3 years after they had acquired Harden.

It's interesting how jrue has more value than James harden.

You can get a top HOF player in return if you give him up, or you can receive a couple first round picks straight up for him.

Harden.... Not so much.

Bill definitely gave Giannis and the Bucks their flowers during that title run, and he gave them a ton of respect and even admitted we would have beaten them if we had Khris the following year. But ever since then, he's had this weird stick up his ass about Milwaukee.

In my opinion, it's the decline of his beloved Pats combined with the rise of Boston's young core that's brining out the ultra homer in him. Tatum and the young core are no longer in the up and coming, everything is gravy phase. It's title or bust now and i think he's feeling the pressure. I do admire that it still means so much to him, or at least seems to. I think Russillo is much more level headed these days.

I did find it funny that they both agreed that Jrue is a much better defensive player than Smart. "It's not even close," they said. Even though at least one of them voted for Smart DPOY two seasons ago.. That part pisses me off.

Not just Sixers fans. I believe one KOC proclaimed them favorites to win the championship after acquiring Harden.

Harden's 'legacy' is going to be terrible. Multiple All-star, All-NBA, MVP... and I'm quite sure people are going to remember all the antics.

Why would the Clippers give up that much for Harden? There's no market for him and they're clearly not desperate to add him. He's on an expiring so the pressure is on the 6ers to make something happen.

I'd offer them like Morris, Bob Cov and whatever extra filler is needed plus a couple of seconds at most. Even that feels like a lot.

Harden is kinda hard to trade under this new CBA.

I watched a few games. Stewart (MVP, NY) was absolutely hot trash; Wilson (runner-up, not happy about it, LV) really stepped it up. I don't know any player history here so won't speculate, but it definitely looked like a tale of two mentalities.
