Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

Hanging out with my "new" best friend
JJ Barea and discussing a ton of BB naturally, I would like to share a few tidbits.
JJ said he believes Boston should be the Favorite to win it all. Thinks the pickup of KP and Jrue are of course great pickups. Having played with KP, he thinks KP will excel because he will get more open looks than ever. Jrue will provide great team chemistry.
No real surprises there, I guess, but nice hearing from him..
Concerning Dallas, He stated it all went to **** when they Let go of Donnie Nelson JR. Thinks everyone in the front office is the problem.. It fell apart when D Nelson insisted on drafting Giannis but was overruled. Didn't say by who.
Credits Nelson for signing him. Gives R Carlisle and Avery Johnson credit for convincing Dirk to shoot less 3s and post up more. Though Dirk's legendary coach taught him most of the moves.
Said everyone told Dirk to slow down on his extra work he put in with his trainer (after almost every practice) during their championship run because they feared Burn out..
Claims he will be surprised with Kyrie working out and thinks J Kidd and Kyrie will have bigger issues than Luka and Kyrie.
Yeah I know, most of what he said was rather obvious.. But I was bored.. Waiting for Boston..

Wemby is truly a generational talent. Will be interesting to see how he does at the end of a full season and his first playoffs. Key for him is health, his motor and iq seem to be things that can continue to improve exponentially

On the top hundred-ish lists… I despise lbj the player but I think he’s better than curry. My reasoning is based on if i had to build teams around them, I think lbj could make more teams better than curry could. I don’t think you can switch the best player from every team and have curry make them better or just as good as they are, I think lbj could. Denver might be one of the few switches I’d question with lbj and I don’t think i would be able to say for certain he couldn’t have won with them.
This assumes health. Of course teams with joker, Giannis, Luka and Tatum aren’t trading them for lbj but that’s not the point.
Let me know what y’all think please.

Maybe it can be both.. Curry gets rated higher because he is coming off one of his best years.. Almost averaging 30 with a near 40-49.5-90% in shooting. Flip side is perhaps LBJ can go to any team and make them better just because he can literally fit in and play any of the 1-4 positions. And While Curry is the "system" in GS, Lebron can play in any system and gel with any-most teammates.
Just my late night Opinion however.

Rookie head coach and now Joe Prunty is the lead assistant. Also no more Stotts-Dame connection. Bucks board is not pleased.

Apparently the Bucks feel they have the offense covered with just the existence of Dame and Giannis so they don’t need Stotts and he recognized the disconnect? I’m very interested in how they start the year. The preseason has not been ideal for them.

I have no issue with Curry in front of LeBron. With his gravity as a shooter and unselfishness he would fit absolutely anywhere. He's the best offensive player of his generation. The one I struggle with is SGA. He's a great player and he's not responsible for the tanking lineups Presti has put around him but can we see him win a playoff series before ranking him above the best player from the 21st century ? Please and thank you.

Nick Nurse said James Harden is “unlikely” to play in preseason finale, but Nurse said he’ll “see what tomorrow morning brings.” Nurse indicated Joel Embiid, other key Sixers will play significant minutes.

Then the playoffs happened. None of the players above were in the top 10 (min 10 playoff games) in postseason ppg. 8 of 10 were from the US. The non-US players (Jokic, Murray) in the top 10 won the title though.
