Feel like there needed to be better communication between all parties when Stotts was brought in. Horst has gotta go back to the drawing board and actually work with Griffin in finding a suitable replacement now. Someone who knows his place while being a valuable offensive mind on staff.

I certainly stand corrected thinking Stotts’ exit was more likely retirement than a bad break up with Griff but at the end of the day when you’re not the head coach, you fall in line and play your role. If you don’t like being told what to do, don’t agree to be an assistant coach right?

Apparently Windy said it was an arranged marriage by the Bucks to bring Stotts in with Griffin.

I’d think Griffin has someone in mind to come in and replace Stotts right away.

And it will probably be the right move.

Not giving AG the benefit of the doubt. I hate being the pessimist but he is going to run everything into the crapper and we are going to underachieve worse than the historic playoff exit we just had. Never been a fan of these players coaches types. Give me a mastermind nerd of the game anyway of the week. We just had our first clue today.

The exciting expectations we have been set up with the addition of Dame will shape up to be one of the biggest rug pulls in NBA history. All led by AG. Dame will then execute the next phase of his plan by requesting to Miami again only this time we will capitulate and probably add assets and end up taking Tyler Herro. Our failure will then be complete and Giannis is gone for nothing.

This is the only thing I disagree with.

Without him we have no legit strategic basketball minds; the hand is tipped for how AG is running the ship and it is horrendously ugly before even the season starts. Even his response about Stotts' departure reeks of amateur hour. Now we're left with a player's coach whose job is to yell at players or be their friends. And a Jason Kidd holdover who exists only to be interim coach for the guy ahead of him when they get fired, a JAG of a coach who is no threat to anyone's job as a mannequin posing as a coach.

Watch as AG picks a stooge, another "motivator" in his image.

That to a fault in the puffed chested world of the NBA. I truly don't understand any manager of any organization yelling at another manager in front of non-management employees. You got a big office. Use it if a managerial subordinate is not on your page. I doubt if as head coach, Stotts ever yelled negatively at any assistant in front of the players (maybe a sarcastic quip or an eye roll).

I know an old man that had a wealth of experience and scored a top job. He lasted less than one day because he just couldn't handle taking instruction from a young whippersnapper 30yrs younger.

This is going to be a great case study for how much coaches actually matter. I've always thought you need a great coach to win, hopefully I'm wrong
