I think we can credit the sixers for coming back in the third. Hawks had their starters out there when Melton got hot.

Melton looks like a legit gamer under nurse. Honestly he has been the best player on the team in the preseason. If he keeps this up he can be a great trade chip as an expiring deal at season end because he will be seeking a big money deal.

Melton is inconsistent and has no offensive game when his shooting is off. No mid range, no handle and weird finishing ability. But when his shot is going in, he’s better than preseason Damian Lillard.

You don't trade players like him. You trade him and then you need to find another like him and they are rare.

My point was morey is saving his cap space for a “ star” by all accounts . Milton will be an unrestricted free agent at season end . I doubt morey will be paying him what he will be asking for.

I think morey will see him a very valuable chip attached with the picks he will get in the harden trade to get himself a possible star to match with Embiid and Maxey ( Siakam?)
