Morey spinning out.

What would have to happen for Daryl to get the ax?

two people involved in the negotiations say Clippers president of basketball operations Lawrence Frank reiterated the team’s stance that Mann would not be part of their offer. Morey, those people say, expressed his disbelief and accused the Clippers of being “unserious” about getting a deal done. He even quipped that they should just trade Clippers star Paul George for Harden if they were so determined to keep all of their lesser assets — a request that was immediately denied.

Morey being early on the analytics train, getting in the good graces of a lot of nba media has certainly given him a very long leash with regards to his rep.

Morey accusing anybody of being "unserious" in trade negotiations is an absolute trip. Self-awareness is a skill, ladies and gents.

It's pretty funny to take Mann off the table. Like, a 27 year old guard who's started 85 games in his career, basically a notch above replacement level. If you won't trade Mann for Harden, you don't actually want Harden on your team. Which: fine, but stop feigning interest.

I think you're forgetting that one time he scored 39 points in a playoff game sir!

I think they have to feign interest because the stars on the team want to play with Harden. But the Clippers brass are smart enough to realize Harden wouldn’t do much for them and they don’t want to give him a long term deal. So drawing a hardline on the guy that the Sixers will want gives them an out.

Watch them flip Mann in a deal for Brodgon.

Basically covered by Gobert who had to leave him wide open because the rest of the Jazz D was getting carved up beyond believe.

This is actually a really good theory about placating the stars feigning interest.

I also wonder if other GMs find Morey annoying so really enjoy holding him over the fire when they know they have leverage.

If Mann is such a meh player, why is Philly so insistent on him being part of the deal? Morey throwing a tantrum cause he knows he’s the one over a barrel.

I mean if I were running the Clippers would I take Harden for expiring salary? Sure. If the Sixers want to give him away so the Clippers can let him walk in the off-season without losing any real assets, then yeah, take him and see if it works.

But no reason to give up any real assets for a guy you don’t want to keep beyond this season.

So my "that's not super impressive, I can do that" thing is the touchdown pass off the rebound. But the one Jokic casually did 2 and a half minutes into todays game was **** art. holy **** check it out. (literally, because I'm not doing the leg work, sorry)

The Suns are going to be really really good, borderline juggernaut if they can find a cheap playable C somehow. Only concern with them is health.

The Celtics are going to need to find someone else to foul Giannis 5 times in 4 minutes

Have the Clippers actually showed any interest?

After the Heat series, a few of us were already on the trade Giannis for the number 1 pick bandwagon. Victor has what it takes to have the highest peak ever imo.
