I once had a chip in my shoulder, my doctor said it was a cracked clavicle.
Don’t know why you’d want it to be bigger than ever.

26 years old, but still Two-Way eligible. That's as feat, there.

I like this move.
Who doesn't remember that big game Knight had against Boston about 2 years ago. He was nearly unstoppable. Rob couldn't guard him.

Re: Welcome to Boston and Maine, Nathan Knight!
Nice signing. I will miss Gabriel and Steward cuz they seemed like great guys and deserve a shot, but what I saw on the floor is that they both looked too small for this team, too thin perhaps.
The Celtics needed a couple of bruisers, and Knight, like Queta, appears to be a dunkaholic. Good size and strength. Maybe Queta gets moved to regular roster. Although there is no rush to do so, he may be playing his way into it. Knight, as a PF/C type, can be brought up for minutes as needed. He's already got NBA experience and is 26.

Re: Welcome to Boston and Maine, Nathan Knight!
the highlights look like a Lamar Stevens clone -- maybe slightly better at cranking it on guys.
I don't remember ever seeing him before, but looks fine for a G-league spot -- develop a potential Oshae/Lamar replacement

Hal14 wrote:Solid pickup. My only qualm is that he's 26 and that's pretty old for a 2-way player. Typically 2-way guys are younger, so you develop them, they have some upside to possibly develop into a decent contributor down the road.
At age 26, not sure how much development/upside is left. But it seems like Brad likes taking fliers on 25/26 year old guys to compete for end of bench spots (Svi, Lamar, Brissett, Gabriel, etc.). Maybe they like that he won't require much development or hand holding. More of a plug and play guy who can play in Maine and (since he's more polished and further in his development) could fill in here and there and maybe give us some minutes in Boston if need be. So possibly some emergency depth at the PF/C spots..
I recall some theory, that Brad was trying to get a team dominantly stacked with players around the Jays age so that they could grow as a team together. The team now has only a couple pups (Walsh, Davison) and a couple grizzled vets (Horford, Holiday) while the reat are in that mid to late 20's age. Knight and Queata both seem like guys who will be brought up to spell Horford and Porzingis.

Steward, likely ends up as an Affiliate in Maine.

I like him, and Brad says he's in the development pipeline. He can turn into a real find, just needs to get stronger and keep working. There are a few guys around his size, like Tyrese Maxey, who he can model his game on. Not saying he'll be Maxey, but if he fills out his body, he can have that type of small SG game with some PG skills added in.
Glad to know he can stick in Maine. Maybe next year he'll be battling it out with Madar.

Some good two handed jams there. Between Knight, Kylor Kelly, Queta and Davison, Maine should have some fun games. Too bad about Scrubb.

Walsh will throw down some jams in Maine too.
Scrubb would have been a nice knock down shooter for that team though..hopefully Funk can find his shot in Maine..he has the potential to be a solid shooter..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

I'll sign off on this play. Leave the 15th spot open. I like Knight in double big lineups playing the PF role.

IIRC, that was the game that all the Wolves' rotation guys had to sit out (covid, I think?), and a bunch of nobodies beat our starters. Among them were this guy and Jarred Vanderbilt. That night I felt ashamed to be a fan (which must've happened only 4-5 times in over 3 decades).
After signing this guy and Brissett, our chances of being burned by scrubs this season are ~8.3% lower.
Ish Smith and Terrence Ross up next.

I know during every interview, every ball player speaks in "basketball speak" but in this interview, he really seems to have some brains in his head. He seemed very poised. Hope that translates to BBIQ on the court. I know I look at every Celtic's signing through green colored glasses, but I could see this guy pushing Brissett for backup 4/5 minutes, while Queta pushes Kornet for minutes at the 5.
A bench of:
PG- PP, Banton, Davison (2-way)
SG- Svi, Hauser, Walsh
SF- Stevens, Brissett
PF- Horford, Knight (2-way)
C- Queta, (2-way) Kornet
Good depth, giving starter plenty of time off for rest as needed.

I apparently have erased that trauma from my memory lol. I’ll watch the game recap later and have it all come back in its shameful glory I’m sure.
