What will happen?

Immanuel Quickley and the Knicks have until 5 p.m. on Oct. 23 to agree to terms on a contract extension. Otherwise he will be a restricted FA at years end.

We have an absolute glut of gaurds on this team. Why sign Divincenzo? It certainly seems like one of Grimes or Quickley will be traded soon.

I'd be surprised if he got it, we have a glut of guards on the team. DDV being signed should have been a hint on where their minds were at, he's more tradable without one.

Look man if you like IQ just pay him. We had no problem throwing money around before. I won’t nec pay him Brunson money but we gotta lock him up. Problem is everyone on this team is highly paid and we average.

I think its short sighted because DDV hasn't looked very good at all.

The fact that it got to this point, I don't think he's getting it. I think he deserves it tho. He's been a big part of our success. If they don't extend does that necessarily mean he's not staying here? Just want to understand what this means when nothing happens by 6pm today.

Knicks can still sign him but will have to wait until the offseason. He will be a restricted free agent so the Knicks can match any offer.
