Yes I do.

If the Magic generally stay healthy, I think they'll be around .500 even if Fultz and Anthony play the exact same as they did last year.

Did I miss the extension announcement…??? Lol /laughing emoji

That’s the level of debate in this thread about this topic.

Like nobody is capable of drawing conclusions.

How likely is a Fultz extension?

Edit: My answer is less than 35%. The team would have to over achieve and even then it's not a sure thing

I think it's not very likely. Fultz is in a much different position than Cole.

Cole's production is naturally going to be capped more than Fultz's potentially is because Cole is not a starter. Other than upticking his 3PT percentage, there's not much Cole can do to earn more than he's probably already being offered.

No one is going to pay Cole Anthony to be a starter IMO. He's a 6th man and that only pays so much. So I think it's more realistic for him to lock in his money now.

The difference between what Fultz is probably being offered right now and what we COULD get if he has a good, healthy season and shows off things he's never shown before is significant.

*If* Fultz actually starts taking and making threes or getting to the line at a much higher rate, he could demand - and frankly would probably get - WAY more than he's likely being offered right now.

If he plays the exact same as he did last year, he's still getting the same amount he's being offered right now.

Hmmm, I think I meant to ask about how likely it is that he's re-signed.

Oh like 95-99% likely

The only way Fultz doesn't get resigned is if he gets seriously hurt or this season goes so far off the rails that a bunch of guys end up getting shipped out.

Fultz= Schroder type of contract, anything more than 15 mill/yr for 3 years is too much

Then we can lock up 30+ mill/yr for 2 below average starting PGs. Yay!

Cole 3 year 39 mill, Naz Reid 3 years 41 mill. Im okay with it. Now please dont overpay Fultz.

I wouldn't pay Fultz unless he shows out this year! The FO wants to see him turn into an impact player from deep or else!

I think most of us can agree resigning Fultz just got less likely ? I think front office wanted to see more than 1 three made in the offseason.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

You don't think they'll resign their starting point guard and keep absolutely everyone under contract like they always do?

Agreed. It's quite the take. I am totally on board with Coles contract respective to his position. If he continues his current track it might even end up being a steal of a deal if he can accept his role as 6 man off the bench.

But Cole's signing means very little for Fultz. If we had seen a lot more from Anthony Black or move like Suggs playing PG in pre-season then i'd be singing a different tune.
