Love has not shown the consistent ability to make the right reads - and when he does, he's consistently been at least a half second behind on each of his throws. Both of his TDs yesterday were throws behind the receiver that very easily could have resulted in turnovers. You can argue that his supporting cast and playcalling haven't helped - and I wouldn't disagree - but unless his receivers are running the wrong routes all the time, Love's poor accuracy has been evident for weeks now.
Somebody here made the same argument with me. It was baffling then and it's baffling now. Love is under throwing EVERYTHING downfield. It's not some contextual genius, he's just that bad when it comes to accuracy, and nothing demonstrates that further than that first TD pass yesterday. He's consistently unable to hit these layup throws.
Leading the receiver makes big plays and big plays make TDs, and Love through 6 games has hit on STARTLINGLY few of those when the opportunities have been there.
