Unless Jokic, Giannis or whoever else wins three championships or more having them at three or more MVPs is going to look silly with Curry only having two.

Those other guys didn't have to split their limelight with KD.

Even factoring that in. You can discount their championships and Curry has still been in more finals than either Jokic or Giannis. That's why it is silly.

Both are younger than Curry and havent had dynasty level teammates/coaching.

What does one have to do with another?
This is a simple award that should go to the most valuable player in one specific season. Prior seasons, championships and other players should have no influence over who gets it.

MVP is not a lifetime achievement award. It’s a year-by-year regular season award, and Curry hasn’t had the best regular season since 2016. Maybe if he could stay healthy for 82 games he’d have more than two, but such is life.

Jokic and Giannis earned their MVPs and we’re not going to to strip them of their awards just to make your guy look better.

Arguing that certain guys are entitled to "legacy" MVP's (Kobe multiple years, Lebron in 2020, Curry in any year since 2016) is the weirdest narrative. Like, just straight up admitting "Yeah, my guy doesn't have a particularly great case for MVP, but he's an all-time great! You can't have Player X end up with more MVP's than him!"

Giannis with Dame, he's gonna go off. And on the defensive end too.

Jokic's to lose if healthy and the bench is decent.

He's just too good.
Thank you Nico!

It's the Anthony Davis redemption tour.
Health is always a matter.
But if healthy.
The man has seen all of Giannis, Jokic, Embiid win.
Win the accolades he was supposed to win.
The "next great big man" who hasn't performed to the expectations. Who has seen others take what it should be his.

So I'll pick AD. For his motivation. For the fire i believe it has been set inside him.
I consider Giannis and Jokic better players than him. I think that Embiid is on the same level.
But this isn't an award for the best player.
It's an award for the regular season MVP.
AD has the motive. AD is the one that has to prove that he can lead a team.
If he does that with LeBron as a sidekick...this award can be his. Because he will have the narrative.

They are both 28, I reckon they could another 'ship or two. What would be silly is to wait until they have 2-3 titles, before giving them a third MVP. If they totally deserve it, let it be. It's not like either of them had near the rosters that Curry had the privilege to enjoy.

After last night - it’s looking like that.

What he just did to a healthy AD is going to be tough for any on the MVP ladder to beat on opening night. Cause it’s not just what you do, it’s who you do it to.
