So yeah this is gonna be recurring theme throughout the season.

I’m honestly surprised that KD isn’t injured. I would’ve thought he’d be the first one.

How did KD get injured last season in January while still with the Nets? He played every game but 1 up until that point. Additionally, KD was averaging 36 minutes a game at that point. Then when he finally played 3 games with the Suns, he had that ankle injury during warm-ups. Still though, I feel like KD is probably as healthy as he can be, he got the summer off, no Olympics or anything so I'm assuming we will see KD over 65 games this year. Hopefully the Suns can give KD closer to 33-34 minutes per game.

Beal was on pace to play around 60 games last season but was shut down the final 9 games of the season for the Wizards to tank. I am definitely concerned with Beal more so than Booker or KD. Beal is another star that his team plays him too many minutes though, so ideally the Suns limit his minutes too.

Gordon probably starts. Maybe Beal comes off bench with Goodwin. If not Grayson gets more minutes which is fine, we can play small against GSW.

I’d start Grayson and keep Gordon coming off the bench. I think Grayson is in legit contention for a starting spot anyway, and I’d like to see Gordon be the bench leader and commander.

Booker / Goodwin
Grayson / Gordon
Okogie / Yuta
KD / Metu
Nurk / Eubanks

Still a relatively good and deep team. Just wish it wasn’t against the warriors. Hate losing to them in general

Grayson/Gordon is already a better rotation than Paul/Shamet from last year, simply by being able to shoot worth a damn and neither guy being Shamet.

Seems like some people are ungrateful what Chris Paul provided for Phoenix since 21 getting us to the finals for just the 3rd time in Suns history. As soon as Paul left it’s easy to call him out.

Id rather beal just sit out an extra week if theres a smidgen of doubt about his back. if hes good to go he's good to go but that type of status should only be confirmed if he's been 100% for a week or two.

in other words, its **** october who cares if he misses the opener. it's functionally no different than any other game in the season. if anything it would be better to make sure hes good for the home opener.

when did I say I was ungrateful? I was specifically speaking about CP3 last season. it was definitely a step down from the previous two years.

I have never understood the Chris Paul hate with Suns fans. We owe that guy everything for what he did.. and Monty.

Edit: just saw Spanishninja post, I don’t see any hate at all from the post. But I was speaking more for general Suns fans.

I wonder if more local Phx sports fans will tune in for the DBacks or Suns? I suppose they don't really overlap too much. I imagine it may be a stupid question being it is game 7 of the NLCS vs game 1 of an 82 game regular season, and the hype has probably been growing every game in the DBacks postseason.

I imagine those who plan on watching both will stick with the baseball game though if it's close going into the later innings when the Suns start. I will have both on.

If it’s truly that finicky of an injury, just shut him down until it’s healed. The fear is that it bugs him the entire season without ever getting better and bothers him forever

to be fair he was pretty bad last year and unfortunately always injured at the wrong times.

I have a feeling we will not be seeing our big 3 on the court at the same time quite often this year.

I swear it seems like there's a contingent of Suns fans that wants our big 3 to be injured so they can say "I told you so"

Opening night Guys!!!!!
Whoever shows up I am excited to see this group start their epic adventure together. I think we will look back at this season and wish we could relive it again and again. For tonight, let's forget the past, let's stop looking to the future and let's be present and enjoy what a great day today is in Arizona Sports. Live in the Moment because the moment is a present. Go Suns and DBacks!!!

I hope Beal plays. Looking forward to it. I am not a doctor nor do I have detailed information on the injury so I won't try to be an armchair doctor and say they "should" rest him. I'm sure it is a big enough deal that it could get worse if he plays, he won't.

i dont expect the combo of Beal, Booker and KD to play more than half the games together this year, add in Nurkic and i wouldn't be shocked if the number is in the 30ish range for all 4. this has notching to do with these back spasms or sore toe, just history, the goal is to be as healthy as possible at the end cuz we are gonna see a lot of nights without a full contingent

I'm expecting Gordon to really steer the ship whenever these stars are out.

I think we're also going to see more of Saben Lee this year, dude is a great decision maker and will be nice change of scenery from Cam Payne.
