Hey everyone it's a good season to be a Raptors fan.Maybe were not stacked but we are deep in assets to make a trade for a higher caliber player or two later in the season. The good thing is we have a good balance of young guys and vets and that's important to a teams success if you remember the VC era. We have depth at every position for once since the 2019 season. We have a new coach as well so there are no doghouses and favorites.

Anyone else excited and feeling like we're going to have a successful season this year? We have the perfect roster to make a move to get even better.

I’m excited for the season, but I worry about injuries, specifically to Schroeder.

Ahh early season optimism.

I've heard this "We are Deep" language before. Precious was supposed to take the next step, Flynn was ready to bust our of the dog house, Dowtin and Harper was the second coming of Jesus Christ.

The problem is the Raptors are deep with mediocre talent.

The backup PG is...Flynn? And he will play a fair amount, its not like Scottie will be the PG and they wont play Flynn.

Dwight Howard has some interesting allegations against him about going a bit deep on a man who wasn't interested.

Precious, Gary and Jalen off the bench is pretty good. I don’t know if it’s a competitive advantage though.

Lots of unproven depth here otherwise.

Maybe coach brings out the best in Malachi. Maybe we keep Otto at 10-12 MPG, and he stays healthy all year. It would be nice to see Gradey find his rhythm, but he’ll need to be on the floor with guys that pull in the defense - Barnes and Pascal.

The backup C and backup PG spot are pretty weak, and your backup SG costs you a starter money, which kind of feel as a bad contract, where the minutes can go to Dick at end of the season.

Now adding Young and Flynn, there could give us better depth, but I can consider Young expiring would be the raise for Siakam, Porter + Flynn would be the raise for Anunoby next year, keeping them as expiring I can understanding.

definitely lacking PG depth and a little thing upfront, but this depth looks like a play-in team at the least.

I’d say the team is average in terms of depth. Good forward depth but weak Center/Guard depth.

The bench is a huge question mark. Trent’s inconsistency with young players like dick and Precious along with health issues with opjr and Koloko. And talent with Flynn. It could go either way.

4 out of 9 of the rotation wasn't on the team to start last year, and we should see some improvement from Scottie and hopefully Precious.

I've been on team negative all summer but so far it looks encouraging.
