What picks would you add to Fournier, Quickley and Hartenstein + picks for Donovan Mitchell?

Unfortunately, the feeling I'm getting is that it's Towns. The roster fits for trades between us make too much sense. They're kinda short on guards and we need another big. Plus, the Quickley extension, or lack thereof.

The basic framework could be something like this + a few picks.

Towns is a very good player.

Brunson
Grimes
Hart
Randle
Towns

Why not?

"Towns is a very good player." Without him, Minnesota would not have won all their titles!

He is very good and I can say that without liking his game very much. Your logic applies to Embiid, Doncic, Chris Paul, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing etc.

While the price for Embiid will likely be super high the price for Towns and LaVine probably would be quite a bit lower.

There are a ton of connections to Towns including us bringing in Rosas. If its Towns , I really hope we somehow keep Mitchell as a backup 5 to him. 15M in the NBA is no longer bigtime starter money and Mitchell could still get 20-25 minutes a game with Towns getting 20 ish minutes at the 5 and only about 10 at the 4. Or you get Naz Reid in the deal back who can back up both the 5 and the 4.

Totally agree with that. I don't see why knicks didn't try for a cheaper route with Myles Turner when they traded Obi.. Knicks would still have plenty of chips to get Donovan Mitchell.. but who knows maybe they did try. Wouldn't need Mitchell with Turner..

Closer to the trade deadline... I'm hoping the Knicks look at Gallinari, Joe Harris. Would love to get shooters with size. Fck defense... just give me stone cold shooters.

Gallinari would fit well, even now. Unfortunately, we don't really have matching salary.

Knowing how stressed sham must be when Mitch is at the line pleases me greatly. It's gotta be like being the PR person for Elon Musk or Donald Trump, you're under so much stress to come up with some kind of excuse for why they did what they did.
