Big win against good oponent on the road without Beal.

I start from pluses and obviously performance Okogie was good. He drawn fouls on Stephan which caused less minutes for him in this game. Another things worthy of praise is his hustle. He was like thief ( in the best way ) and good effort on the boards. He had couple tip in ownerless ball. On the end his three point shoot close the game.

Devin like as Devin. Never falls down beyond a certain level but I have objections to Kevin. He doesn’t play bad but I’m excepting more from him in absence Bradley.

Grayson fighter if he shoots one-two threes will be great but he was solid.

Without Nurkic we doesn’t defense our paint. Drew quickly get a fouls by moving screen and must be careful in D what vas visible. Together they had 21 rebounds and this is one of many factors that we won this game. Nurkic also was great passer ( especially to cut Okogie ). Ayton never do it like this.

Good substitution was introduce Yuta and Nasir. The first one shoots two three and help us on desk a Nasir add three when we struggle.

On the end I write about Eric. He was awful and I don’t why Vogel keep him on the floor on this long time. Yeah I know he make huge three but 4/16 FG. On D even Chris Paul dribble him. In match less min for him and more others players.

My main area for improvement is we need more system to get our shooters open, more movement.

If Kevin Young could get Bridges, Johnson, Crowder open shots in the past he should be able to do similar.

Crazy how people are writing KD off after 1 game.

He just had a bad shooting game, it happens to everybody. Chill, relax, KD still gonna have 25 on 55% in his sleep.

Are you referring to the OKC or Warriors KD?

We play Gordon so much because besides KD and Book (and Beal) he's the only one that can dribble through traffic, pass, and not get pick-pocketed like this is a pick up game (looking at you Goodwin)

I'm stating my opinion off of what I've seen so far as a Sun. He's mostly been relegated to high volume jump shooting as he's been consistently unable to beat his man into the paint to get to the hoop and teams have noticed.

I think it also bares repeating that he tore his achilles in his 30's and that's not an easy injury to get back to form from. To pretend he's the same player (which I think you're trying to do) is not exactly reality here. He'll have some good games for the Suns this year no doubt - but the Suns are going to be very reliant on the athleticism of Booker and Beal this year to carry the load with scoring.

KD needs to watch some youtube of Dirk circa 2011.

Dude couldn't jump over a can of soda.

And he put up okay efficiency while creating his shots.

Dirk was also a fantastic off-ball player. He routinely cut or came off pin-downs for semi-open midrange shots or close to the basket gimmes.

KD basically wants to play on hard mode, wants to look like a 7 foot Kobe every time he shoots it.

It's dumb basketball.

I overrated his basketball IQ and I hope Vogel straight up tells him hey, maybe stop taking so many stupid ass shots.

KD will be fine - I think you have to set your expectations correctly. 35 year old KD is not going to be an offensive engine. You're best served using him as a play finisher rather than an engine. It's best for his longevity as well.

Booker will carry the load as the lead engine.

Please check back after 10 games, a mid-range fade for KD is a layup for most players.

This is a large part of why we got Beal too. We need the real KD for 30 games this season, not 110

Nothing unusual about that, but you have to keep in mind KD has played less than 20 games with Booker and the Suns and part of his less than stellar playoff performance last season can be attributed to that. Give it a season

He also shot 56/40/92 in the regular season last year. He'll be fine.
