Williams and USC vs ranked opponents last season scored 42, 48, 38, 24, and 48 points. But that was funny because Dak and Williams both kind of look similar or something. Good one.

If the Packers end up with a top 3 pick, would you take a QB? As much as I'd like to get more talent to surround Love with, it would be hard to pass up on Williams or Maye if they are available.

Williams is a no-brainer.

But after that Harrison or trade down. There's gonna be good QBs available later in round one into round two. Absolutely stacked class.

If they have a chance at Maye or Williams you take them and don't look back

Since he wants ownership in the team that drafts him, we can print him up one of those packer shareholder certificates.

If the Packers can't get Harrison Jr., go watch Xavier Legette and tell me he wouldn't be a nice consolation prize 20-40 picks later.

Yeah, that was last year. This year has gotten out of hand, literally.

ESPN's got a new mock out.

1. Chicago Bears (via 0-6 CAR) - Caleb Williams, QB, USC
2. Arizona Cardinals (1-6) - Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State
3. Denver Broncos (2-5) - Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina
4. New York Giants (2-5) - Olumuyiwa Fashanu, OT, Penn State
5. Chicago Bears (2-5) - Dallas Turner, EDGE, Alabama
6. Washington Commanders (3-4) - Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame
7. New England Patriots (2-5) - Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia
8. Las Vegas Raiders (3-4) - Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama
9. Green Bay Packers (2-4) - JC Latham, OT, Alabama

The Packers haven't drafted a tackle in the first round since 2011 (Derek Sherrod), trusting their ability to develop Day 2 and Day 3 selections. But injuries and some players not taking the next step have led to an inconsistent front in Green Bay. And quarterback Jordan Love has a 31.6% completion percentage under pressure this season, 30th in the NFL.

Latham is a rock-solid right tackle prospect who is a people-mover in the run game and has good feet to mirror pass-rushers. He has unique strength and movement skills for a 6-foot-6, 360-pounder, and I see some similarities to Tyler Smith when he was coming out of Tulsa in 2022.

Team needs: OT, S, RB

10. Tennessee Titans (2-4) - Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson
11. Indianapolis Colts (3-4) - Keon Coleman, WR, Florida State
12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-3) - Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State
13. Cincinnati Bengals (3-3) - Rome Odunze, WR, Washington
14. New York Jets (3-3) - Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia
15. New Orleans Saints (3-4) - Malik Nabers, WR, LSU
16. Arizona Cardinals (via 3-3 HOU) - Jer'Zhan Newton, DT, Illinois

As of today the Packers actually hold the #7 spot. For some reason ESPN is using their batsh*t FPI rankings as a predictor.

They really need to move up into the top three.

I'm honestly fine with any of Alt, Mims, Kool-Aid, Bowers, or Latham. This isn't a bottom-3 roster in football, and the schedule is too favorable.

This is interesting. Could NIL money get large enough that it's competitive with rookie salaries?

More than the average rookie scale contact? Yeah probably. I kind of doubt it's more than the number 1 pick contract. It also delays your potential second contract where you make the real money.

Definitely smart on his part to float this out there and use as leverage if he doesn't like who's picking one. Might be able to spook them into trading.

I've seen Caleb in a couple of big budget prime time commercials already.

He can make some cash that way, but it has some risk too. I also used to see Baker Mayfield in frequent big budget TV commercials too. Those commercial opportunities evaporated with the flop of his career in Cleveland. It will be interesting to see if he gets some national commercials again, or if his side gig is pitching for Florida Gulf Coast biz, or some such.

Baker and Caleb have a lot in common. Both played for Lincoln Riley and won the Heisman, running up big stats in a wide open offense. Same size too.
Riley is quite the coach.

Bowers would be a very nice consolation prize, but they need to get into the top three in the worst way.

#5 spot. SOS is gonna be nice to Green Bay when it comes to draft pick position.

Going to have to find a way to lose to Carolina, the Giants, a Cousins-less Minnesota, and the Bears. But I believe in our ability

There's gonna be so much tanking over the final month, especially in the North.

Our last 5 games are Giants, Bucs, Panthers, Vikings, Bears. All of those teams are horrible - hopefully we make some deals at the trade deadline to become more horrible.

Looking at the draft - we need to do everything we can to get a top 4 pick.

Pretty clearly looking at:

Caleb Williams
Drake Maye
Marvin Harrison
Olu Fashenu

I'd personally prefer we give Love another year with a new head coach and better weapons / protection, but I'm not complaining w Maye or Williams.

The issue is if we pick any lower than 4, it puts Gute in a position to do something ridiculous like draft another edge rusher or a CB. The offense is a dumpster fire and needs some investment. Could have done that in 2023 with JSN but went with Van Ness. I will literally riot if we go defense with our 1 next year.
