PG: Off to a bad start
We shot enough 3s (42), but was terrible on execution and defense. We got our butts kicked.
I know the offense will most likely improve, but the problems still exist from last season.
I really don't know how things will go this season given that everyone else has significantly improved.

I'm too let down to really discuss the game. Just the same problems with the same players. Bench signings don't change that.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

Re: PG: Off to a bad start
Well they did get a lot of 3s up, but there was no talk this summer of the other end of the problem. We were 29th in 3 pointers allowed last season. That part hasn't changed a bit. OKC got up 39 3s and hit on almost half of them because they were all wide open.

Craig played well. So did Drummond.
Vuc was OK. I guess Caruso was as well.
Not anything good to say about anyone else.

Let's laugh at Billy for leaving OKC.
I don't do the dishes, I throw them in the crib

Re: PG: Off to a bad start
OKC shot 55% from the field and 49% from 3 on 39 attempts.
But they were easy shots. It was simple penetration, and someone was wide open easy shots. Its so easy to break our defense. It was shooting practice out there.
But concerning this season, I don't think everyone will have immunity if this continues. We have a hard schedule right out the gate. I don't think we will be favored in any of the games other than Detroit.
Its a real possibility we could start the season 1-9 or 2-8. Its sad, but only worth it if something drastic comes of it.

Welp
Jerry Reinsdorf; the undisputed king of allowing his GM's to run amok with unchecked power and ego.

Re: PG: Off to a bad start
Switchability in centers and versatility in wing players and shooting are the most important things in recent league.
Yet AK traded massive future assets for a offensive center who really doesn't get buckets while his defensive limitations drag the whole team down. AK also give the max contract to the wrong guy who can't distribute the ball and can't defend. He's also trying to extend a 34-year-old one way player with terrible playoffs resume.
I wonder if delusional AK would finally accept the fact that Midde-3 experiment is totally failed by the 2023-24 season ends.
What about shooting. AK once said team's 3pt% is decent blah blah blah while the Bulls attempted the fewest 3-pointers in the league two seasons in a row. He even said he's trying to change team's shooting profile before the season started. Well problem is you NEED TO GET RELIABLE SHOOTERS FIRST if you want to improve the shooting.
I know they lack future assets and don't have enough cap space to sing with REAL shooters. And that's on AK who traded 3 FRPs and 4 SRPs and Lauri and Wendell to build this mediocre roster.
What a pathetic FO they are.

For people that thought this team would be good this year, what led you to believe that? What analysis leads you to that conclusion?
There was a Reddit thread on r/nba about the NBA team in the absolute worst situation, and the Bulls led the responses. No elite talent, no blue chip prospects to root for. Just absolute NBA hell.

Vuc and Drummond is a 1999 center rotation and given our other limitations isn't useful. Drummond and Vuc are out dated for the type of ball we, at least in theory, want to try and play. Drummund and Vuc are NOT running in transition or even semi transition. They sure as **** aren't good three point threats. Vuc is fool's gold he's always wide open for a reason up top.

Can’t guard the perimeter and can’t shoot. Sounds like a great recipe for being a terrible team.

Sorta... So I owned a weird original Picasso during my first marriage. Not super valuable by any means, anyway what he has built is that right now, and technically previously has yet to prove to be a masterpiece. That being said he has the canvas and the paints.... I hope to see it.
