The San Francisco Giants have signed new manager Bob Melvin and incumbent president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi to deals through the 2026 season.
Melvin\'s contract is signed, while Zaidi and the club have \"agreed in principle\" to the new pact.
Zaidi also announced that the Giants will give the San Diego Padres no compensation for hiring Melvin, who was managing the team on a deal through 2024.
