I know Amen is longer than Black, but Black just appeared bigger and more physical.

Black reminds me of Cade a little. Just sort of glides around...doesn't have explosiveness/athleticism to beat his guy but just gets to where he wants and is able to use his body to get space to get his shot.
Plays with great control. He might be the new slow mo

Re: The Anthony Black Thread
There are a surprising number of people who want to slide Jonathan Isaac to backup center (hell some people want to *start* him at center) when the dude has quite basically never played center at any point in his NBA career.
A consolidation trade is better than changing the current rotation IMO.

I'm warming up to the idea of Isaac at the 5. I mean, it was implied in the picture! And he's huge.Knightro wrote:There are a surprising number of people who want to slide Jonathan Isaac to backup center (hell some people want to *start* him at center) when the dude has quite basically never played center at any point in his NBA career.

He still jumps and lands everything on his left leg ( something that wracked him in past) , he still looks skinny and would struggle with physicality. And he still probably is on heavy min restrictions that won't go away any time soon.
My best bet is that Isaac won't play back to backs and will, even if healthy, still miss 20-30 games at least.
Isaac is perfect in what he does now. Goes in, plays defense, on good day he doesn't hurt offense much. Goes out after few min. Everybody happy.

Re: The Anthony Black Thread
yeah we need an upgrade at back up C, but Isaac is not the answer. We'll see. Isaac or Paolo will likely play some C minutes this year if WCJ is injured.

Watching him play is scary. Every jump, landing, momentum shift feels like a torn muscle waiting to happen.pepe1991 wrote:eyriq wrote:I'm warming up to the idea of Isaac at the 5. Truly terrifying. Seems to fall all the time too and each time you hold your breath waiting for him to get up.

He fell alot. You wonder if he is trying to lessen the pressure on his knees by tumbling like this. I have no idea if that works or not but perhaps Spinedoc can answer that?

Maybe he studied Aikido with Tua this summer and he's just learned to roll out of impact, "Ukemi"

He’s obviously using a breakfall technique on some of his landings. Although he still lands in that left leg. Look to me it’s either going to be fine or it’s not. There’s only so much he can do without compromising his defense. I think JI knows that.

Yeah good point. Don't want him to sacrifice his game too much eh. Still can't stop the heart in mouth feeling each time he comes down though!

Your first round picks should have significant roles in your rotation from day 1.
Black and Howard playing this little is unacceptable. We are not a title team, and they need minutes.

Well, it’s not a surprise. Everybody was expecting a consolidation trade after drafting two guards, while already having a logjam there. But our lazy FO is so afraid of doing any mistake and losing a trade, they rather do nothing and call it „evaluation“

He will be a backup from the 2025/26 season. So Φ = 165.

If only we had a shooter…oh wait (I know it’s a Black thread, but…)
