It is expectation vs. production. When you expect the jump to be "non player" to "effective rotation player" that is very different than expectations of say... a 2 time MVP.

This was what I call a "Mike McCarthy" challenge. He got emotionally attached to how his players felt about it. This was an obvious foul.
