Bam played poorly on offense tonight. He scored 27 but on very bad efficiency.

Another good game, lovely to see us get two wins against likely playoff teams to start the season. White and Jrue really complement each other nicely.

He was quite efficient against Porzingis. Not so much against Brown and Horford

I'm still mad about that pick swap.

White and Herro played well,
Tatum turtled a bit,
Brown was TO prone,
the 3-point defense has been awful,
Al couldn't shoot,
Celtics are much better when Porzingis is in there,
Joe got outcoached but what's new?

Two wins, but non dominant performances
and we should expect more from a Championship level team.

Only reason why I give the CP to JB is Jrue is known to do what he did in the 4th.

I mean Jrue has been doing that for years.

JB made a lot of mistakes in the 1st half, but he bounced back in the 2nd half, made shots and didn't turn the ball over.

If I had a son like Derrick, I'd be the happiest man in the world.

Yup. He just makes smart, winning plays,

Did it in the Knicks game too. Had a key offensive rebound late in the game as well as the play where he cut to the basket, got the pass from Tatum and laid it in.

Him and White in the same backcourt together is just so fun to watch.

I missed the second half but the box score reveals that the tables have turned (offensively)for JB in the game. :)

Voted for White

I nearly punched my tv after the fluke play in the first quarter. These guys play way above their heads against us. They aren’t on our level and they weren’t last year either. Love seeing these tough wins while we are still figuring it out.

Holiday I thought was great at finding guys in advantageous mismatches. We will see more of this

Based on his tweets (and a couple of TV interviews he's done), Richard is a very happy man.

As he should be :)

White and Holiday played like All-Stars. Brown got his sh*t together, despite 4 TO's and poor shooting in the first half. Still, Joe is going to have to figure out how to get something out of SOMEONE OTHER THAN his Top 6 guys. He's got all season, but he's got to figure out a way to get contributions from his 7th thru 9th men, WHOEVER THEY TURN OUT TO BE.

An alternative perspective:

Pts. + Rebounds + (0.5 x Assists) + Steals + (0.5 x Blocks) - Missed FGs - (0.5 x Missed Free Throws) - Turnovers - (0.5 x Fouls)

+29 Derrick White (36 minutes)
+23 Jrue Holiday (36 minutes)

+19.5 Kristaps Porzingis (30 minutes)
+19 Jaylen Brown (33 minutes)

+15.5 Jayson Tatum (41 minutes)

+3.5 Oshae Brisset (14 minutes)
+2.5 Sam Hauser (10 minutes)
+2.5 Payton Pritchard (13 minutes)

+2 Al Horford (25 minutes)

Team Total = 116.5

Horford sucked but PP and Hauser went 2 for 3.. you can't score much if you barely play.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Celts lost 3 key players, Smart, Rob, and Grant.

There's also 2 new starters.

It's going to take time to gel.

You can look at it as not dominant performances and yet the Celts still won.

This is the first season of the Jays with KP and Jrue.

They're only going to get better as the season progresses.

Chemistry is not instant.

Brissett playing over Kornet was big tonight as well. Brissett had 3 crucial offensive rebounds tonight and was fine defensively.
